Exercising, healthy eating, and stress management are important, but you're unlikely to do those things well if you dont allow your body to rest & recuperate.

Sleep helps the body restore & rebuild cells as your muscles relax and you take slow, deep breaths.

๐™Ž๐™ค ๐™ก๐™š๐™ฉ''๐™จ ๐™œ๐™š๐™ฉ ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ก ๐™–๐™—๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฉ ๐™œ๐™ค๐™ค๐™™ ๐™จ๐™ก๐™š๐™š๐™ฅ.

๐“๐ข๐ฉ 1: Determine what time you have to wake up tomorrow and go to bed at least 7hours before that time.

๐Ÿšซ There is ๐™ฃ๐™ค sugar, butter, milk, white flour, juice, soda, or ultra-processed foods (lots of ingredients you can't pronounce & arent grown naturally in nature) in our home. ๐™๐™๐™ž๐™จ ๐™ฌ๐™–๐™จ ๐™– ๐™ฅ๐™ง๐™ค๐™˜๐™š๐™จ๐™จ - it didn't happen over night.

๐Ÿ’ฏ We are intentional about eating lots of ๐™›๐™ง๐™š๐™จ๐™ ๐™›๐™ง๐™ช๐™ž๐™ฉ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™ซ๐™š๐™œ๐™œ๐™ž๐™š๐™จ (fiber) every day, as well as getting in ๐™œ๐™ค๐™ค๐™™ ๐™›๐™–๐™ฉ๐™จ (walnuts, almonds, cashews, avocados, ground flax, chia seeds, olives, etc) & ๐™ฅ๐™ก๐™–๐™ฃ๐™ฉ ๐™—๐™–๐™จ๐™š๐™™ ๐™ฅ๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ž๐™ฃ (beans, chickpeas, lentils, plant based meat).

Don't judge, the pictures may not do the food justice, but what we eat is very satisfying!

1. Breakfast: Smoothie - can be made sooo many different ways & often eat a boiled egg with it

2. Lunch: Lentils over quinoa w/chia seeds & a green juice (spinach, kale, cilantro, cucumber, celery, lemon, garlic clove and water)

3. Snack: Fruit & nuts, greek yogurt, or organic blue corn chips w/organic salsa

4. Dinner: Veggie "fried" rice - broccoli, red onion, frozen peas & carrots, cucumber, tomato, minced garlic, scrambled eggs over brown & wild rice w/scallions and cilantro

Veggie soup - cabbage, carrots, celery, zucchini, squash, red onion, minced garlic, chia seeds, turmeric, black pepper, organic vegetable Better Than Boullion, can of organic roasted tomatoes, lots of water; eaten all year, add sliced avocado on top and/or eat over quinoa or brown rice

Hey, don't knock it til you try it! ๐™‹๐™‡๐™๐™Ž, your taste buds acclimate to your healthier food choices - I promise!

The challenge is at least 7k steps. My personal goal is 10k. Even with the rain and working, a fairly sedentary job, I achieved 13k steps yesterday, woot woot!!

๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ Be intentionally inefficient. Examples: carry in one grocery bag at a time, walk one dog at a time, etc
๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธWalk up & down the stairs in your house for 5min every hour on the hour
๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Œ๐˜ ๐…๐€๐•๐„: Take a brisk walk around your neighborhood every night after dinner (great for digestion & sleep)

Walking 45mins, on average, is about 5,000 - 6,000 steps.
