It's necessary to prioritize your mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing... and without any guilt or hesitation.

๐พ๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ค๐ง ๐ฃ๐ค ๐๐๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ฃ๐๐, we are pretty intentional about our daily eating habits.
๐ซ There is ๐ฃ๐ค sugar, butter, milk, white flour, juice, soda, or ultra-processed foods (lots of ingredients you can't pronounce & arent grown naturally in nature) in our home. ๐๐๐๐จ ๐ฌ๐๐จ ๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐ค๐๐๐จ๐จ - it didn't happen over night.
๐ฏ We are intentional about eating lots of ๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ ๐๐ง๐ช๐๐ฉ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐จ (fiber) every day, as well as getting in ๐๐ค๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐จ (walnuts, almonds, cashews, avocados, ground flax, chia seeds, olives, etc) & ๐ฅ๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ฉ ๐๐๐จ๐๐ ๐ฅ๐ง๐ค๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ (beans, chickpeas, lentils, plant based meat).
Don't judge, the pictures may not do the food justice, but what we eat is very satisfying!
1. Breakfast: Smoothie - can be made sooo many different ways & often eat a boiled egg with it
2. Lunch: Lentils over quinoa w/chia seeds & a green juice (spinach, kale, cilantro, cucumber, celery, lemon, garlic clove and water)
3. Snack: Fruit & nuts, greek yogurt, or organic blue corn chips w/organic salsa
4. Dinner: Veggie "fried" rice - broccoli, red onion, frozen peas & carrots, cucumber, tomato, minced garlic, scrambled eggs over brown & wild rice w/scallions and cilantro
Veggie soup - cabbage, carrots, celery, zucchini, squash, red onion, minced garlic, chia seeds, turmeric, black pepper, organic vegetable Better Than Boullion, can of organic roasted tomatoes, lots of water; eaten all year, add sliced avocado on top and/or eat over quinoa or brown rice
Hey, don't knock it til you try it! ๐๐๐๐, your taste buds acclimate to your healthier food choices - I promise!

PURSUE THE JOURNEY! ๐
The challenge is at least 7k steps. My personal goal is 10k. Even with the rain and working, a fairly sedentary job, I achieved 13k steps yesterday, woot woot!!

๐ถโโ๏ธ Intentionally park further away from the entry to the store, restaurant, office
๐ถโโ๏ธ Skip the elevators & escalators. It's all about those stairs!
๐ถโโ๏ธ While on conference calls stand up & march in place, or walk around the room, or do 10-20 jumping jacks
๐ถโโ๏ธ Be intentionally inefficient. Examples: carry in one grocery bag at a time, walk one dog at a time, etc
๐ถโโ๏ธWalk up & down the stairs in your house for 5min every hour on the hour
๐ถโโ๏ธ๐๐ ๐
๐๐๐: Take a brisk walk around your neighborhood every night after dinner (great for digestion & sleep)
Walking 45mins, on average, is about 5,000 - 6,000 steps.
