The Army operates the largest family shelter in Wake County as well as a nightly drop in shelter. It is at capacity and in need of supplies! Help us by dropping off cleaning supplies such as bleach, Windex, sponges, laundry detergent, toilet paper and paper towels. Donations can be made at The Salvation Army Center of Hope, 1863 Capital Boulevard in Raleigh.

As summer comes to an end, many families are finding it harder to make ends meet. With kids out of school, the added expenses can be overwhelming. Extra food costs, increased utility bills due to extreme heat, and the ever-rising cost of child-care are just a few of the challenges families face.
