BIG NEWS.
We're moving the date of the DFX Throw Down III from 4.20 to 5.18.
Why?
This year the top 25% of Open athletes will qualify for the Quarterfinals. In past years it was the top 10%.
This means that a lot more athletes will be moving on to Quarterfinals.
The individual Quarterfinals are also held the very same week we initially scheduled the Throw Down, 4.17-4.22
Our team decided that we would better serve our athletes and our local community by moving the Throw Down to not interfere with anyone competing in Quarterfinals.
This also mean that you'll be primed to compete on 5.18.24 like the beasts you are.
And while we're sad at the fun we're giving up on 4.20, we're thrilled at seeing what you can do.
We will offer a full refund to any team already registered if requested. Otherwise...see you in May!
Santa is long gone but y'all...do we ever have a gift for you!
All registered athletes will receive free bodywork from the day of the competition.

Athletes may partition reps as they wish
There is no minimum work requirement per athlete.
I.E., One partner may do all or none of the Jump Rope, HSPU, OH Squats, Double taps.
Double Unders -
RX athletes perform double unders
Intermediate may do doubles or 2 x singles, but may not switch between singles and doubles. Partners must both perform the same movement. If you start with dubs, you stay with dubs for the duration of the whole workout and same for singles.
Scaled will do 80 singles
DB Sn**ches are alternating from the ground
Dumbbell Overhead Squats are with either arm RX and Intermediate.
Scaled will perform Dumbbell Goblet Squats
RX - 60/40
Inter - 50/35
Scaled - 35/20
RX - HSPU may be kipping or strict per open standards
Inter - HSPU Males may have 1 Abmat, females may have 1 abmat + 10lb plate under the mat
Scaled will perform barbell push press 75/55
Double tap RX 1 rep = 1 Toes to Bar + 1 Chest to Bar
Double tap Intermediate 1 rep = 1 Toes to bar + 1 Chin over the bar Pull Up
Scaled will perform 30 jumping pull ups while athlete B hangs from the rig.

It's a great opportunity to get outside the box to enjoy the beautiful weather we have this weekend and to rest those legs for the squats on Monday!

One day before the 2023 CrossFit Open begins. This is your sign to get in and get flexy!
Join us for DiamondFit Weightlifting Club's Fundraiser "Barbell Battle" on February 4th.
Registration is just $10 and all proceeds go to get our lifters to the AO-1 at the ARNOLD in Columbus, Ohio.
How it works: Two bars/two platforms - one 15kg bar and one 20kg bar. The bars start empty and weights increase 2-5kg after all lifters have either attempted the lift or passed. Each lifter is allowed two misses and the barbell weight increases until only one lifter remains on each platform.
We will have two sessions based on your anticipated heaviest lift.
This is going to be great fun and an opportunity to help out our crew!
