Proof that the scale is not the best indicator of progress and why strength training is key! In 16 weeks of working with Taylor on heavy lifting and with Caroline on nutrition, this client's Fit3D scan showed a decrease in 12.6 pounds of fat and 5% body fat percentage points, while maintaining ALL lean mass. Often with weight loss, it is very easy for our body to shed pounds of muscle in the process without regular strength training and enough protein. We may think it's great the scale is lower, but less muscle is actually decreasing our metabolic rate (and strength), making it harder to lose fat.
This client was able to prevent this, only lose fat, and change her body composition adding dense muscle. This was just the start. She continues lifting and working on eating habits to steadily reach her goals!
With the cost of produce these days, why not grow your own organic vegetables and herbs! The Popes just spruced up their raised beds that yielded an abundance of food last spring through fall, but you can use a variety of pots and planters too! 🪴
