Dāna is the Sanskrit word for generosity.
Generosity is one of the paramitas — virtues or perfections in the Buddhist tradition. Dāna is the practice of giving, offering of yourself so that others may continue to benefit from the teachings. This aids us on the path to a pure heart and mind. Giving is holding the intention to carry on the teachings through practice and wise action. Monetary donations are not necessary, however giving in generosity for what you have received allows Mīndful Monday to reach further.

Let me just say, I didn't expect my birthday morning surprise to be Joe stepping down (though it was becoming apparent he might) but I'm glad he made the decision to do so anyway. I support Madam Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid for the Democratic Party's Nominee for President of the United States. Our country is long overdue for a female leader. Our DEMOCRACY is teetering on the edge of destruction under those who are in and wish to be in complete POWER. It's time to balance the scales with a smart, savvy, outspoken, fierce woman who is also compassionate and understands the needs of Americans (not just the "whiteman") VOTE 💙VOTE 💙VOTE 🗳
