Incredible TQ curve! Nice job Team!
Before and After on a set of Buell XB’s intake seats I repaired recently. This was a set of hand ported ‘Street’ heads that ended up on the race track. There is a major difference in spring pack selection for a street head vs a race head.
I had to cut the exhaust valves out of the heads due to the spring pack not controlling the valve- I see this all the often when spring pressures are not adequate for thr cam / RPM.
They had 1.900 intake valves already ported to size so I couldn’t back up to my preferred 1.850 but spent some time correcting the port and picked up 8.3% at .600” lift on the intake side for nice gains.
These are now set up correctly for the cam and RPM they will see at the track.
Thank you to all that support 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Huge shout out to the team @ Zippers Performance / Redshift cams.
The cylinders on this build survived to live a 2nd life after a catastrophic rod breaking in South Georgia.
Honed .010”, ready for testing
Congrats the the entire team for battling the heat and killing it on the tune! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
G-Force Racing has been quiet all winter doing their homework and it’s showing, fast passes with all 3 bikes this weekend! Nice to their entire team 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thank you John Price for the shout out!
🔥 AMRA: John Price Wins Pro Modified at Norwalk
The PennGrade1 American Motorcycle Racing Association’s (AMRA) Harley-Davidson motorcycle drag racing series took the stripe at America’s Dragstrip, Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, on May 17-19. The AMRA Ohio Nitro Nationals ran in beautiful, Chamber of Commerce weather, and a big win by a home state hero cast the brightest light over this Disney World of drag racing facilities.
🏆 Pro Modified
John Price had to work a little harder than Douglass for his Pro Modified win, racing against a small but tough field of Keith Carper and Billy Doherty—winner of the first two races this season.
“The first two races of the season started off pretty rough,” Price said about his own year thus far. “Fighting clutch problems, I never made a full run under power at Cecil County.
“Because of this I was approaching the race at Norwalk as more of a test and tune. Every run I was pulling the clutch apart. The bike kept improving each time so I knew I was heading in the right direction.
“It finally started to come around in the semifinal against my teammate Keith Carper. For me it was already a successful weekend, getting the win was icing on the cake.”
That win came against Doherty, the number one qualifier. “In the final the bike launched good and was pulling hard,” continued Price. “When I got to the eighth mile and did not see Billy coming, I figured he had problems. Apparently he had traction issues. You take the wins however they come. I have raced Billy in the finals quite a few times over the last couple of years, always runner-up. The Billy Doherty / Larry Pratt combo is hard to beat.
“Thank you to Zippers Performance who have helped me from the beginning, and also (those who) continue to support Harley racing: Gregg Dahl at GMS, Mike Shultz at HDFR, and the up and coming young gun Chad Hart at XL/XB Horsepower.
“A big thank you to Keith Carper and my brothers David and Steve. I could not race without their help. A big shout-out to Greg Baugh and the AMRA crew for putting on a great race. Also the Summit Motorsports Park facility and crew, they are called America’s track for a reason. And finally, Tim Hailey for getting the word out about Harley racing.”

Stay tuned… anyone else working on a 4 valve / 4 cam??
Eight’Z’er coming soon 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Hurricane head flows really well out of the box but with some port work, seat angle changes and a series of specific back cuts they really shine
WTB Rear B1 head casting, new or used, what’s out there for sale?
XL pushrod preferred but I can move them
4” bolt pattern preferred but I can move them so I can make any bolt pattern work
Shoot me a note or give me a call if you have a single casting laying around for sale. If I can’t find a mate to make a set this casting will be for sale- it’s never been assembled.
Looking for an 07-up TC case & 4 3/8 stock crank for mock up only.
Does anyone have a stock case with a spun cam bearing or a lifter bore scored up? That’s what I’m needing as I will never have a cam plate on it-
Good used crank with the pinion end scored up is also fine- just need something I can mock up squish with.
Call me if you have anything laying in rje corner you want to sell- if we can bet it to a race to save shipping that is ideal.
Pic for attention (this is a 99-06 case I currently use, want the longer stroke for the same purpose)
Thanks
Chad
Thank you Harley-Davidson of Macon for all the help with this program. No better way to kick off the year
Congratulations to Casey Smith for kickin’ off the race season with some impressive runs at the AMRA event in Louisiana💨 The GEN2 crew rocked it as always, securing a win in Zippers Modified and a runner-up in Hot Street on ‘The Judge’ 💪
Good luck the rest of the way Casey… looking forward to another thrilling year of racing!
2 customers this winter have been very patient with me and I’m beyond late with the delivery of their heads. Waiting on custom made parts proved to be a challenge again this winter but I learned through these processes but that’s not the customers problem. Here’s the first of the 2 late jobs, the other set will ship next week.
1.900/1.610 Max Effort Titanium XB
Replacing a set of 2” 883 heads that were found to be cracked early in the winter. They flow within 2 cfm at .300 and +3 cfm at .700 & the chamber came in a couple cc smaller. As I have commented in the past, I’m just not a fan of anything larger than a 1.900 in this casting before they get thin in the bowl.
Headed your way tomorrow morning, see ya in the lanes very soon 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thanks to all that support XLXBhorsepower, going to be a fun summer
If anyone is in the market for a closed loop V***r Hone cabinet I just listed on for sale on Market Place. It’s as new, I’ve only had it 3 months, just don’t have room for it.

$4,300
Could bring to Bristol this weekend if anyone is in the market.

SOLD!!! Thank you everyone for the calls and emails. These have been paid for.
Very nice flowing set of TC heads with the front mount so they will work on the bagger frames.
This is a -06 up set or castings that previously had the SE CNC port done to them. As we all know the valve stem Ti guide clearance is extremely loose on all these 7mm heads, I installed new bronze guide liners allowing to tighten this up, controlling the valve much better. Profile proven valve job which is focused on low lift gains. This is the key when working on street bike cam profiles due to the lack of lift. Huge gains in the .200-.400 range. Premium spring pack set to .600 lift.
Would be a perfect option for a 107 kit or 110 S&S drop off package.
$899 This price is for exchange of your front mount -06up castings.
This flow is almost identical to my 1.850 SleepZter package, Harley used a 1.875, the valves were in nice shape so I reused them. New guides liners, exhaust valves and springs- assembled with new viton seals.
Insured Shipping additional cost
Why I install new seats when installing a 1.900 valve in a big fin XB or XL1200 casting.
Big reason why I use the 1.840 in all my SleepZter heads to help keep the cost down
Been so busy that we never updated after Kuhnle Motorsports Park AHDRA race! We were still have some tuning issues since I'm still learning this s**t 🤪, had some good passes and some not to good but we were able to hold on to 2nd in the 10.90 and 3rd in Eliminator. Thanks to God for all things and my family & friends!
Thanks to
Great idea and design! Nice job
Street job today before the weekend.
The HTCC casting packs a punch for being a 2” valve. Freshened them up with a valve job and the proper back cuts to pick up some mid lift flow. Paired with a nice set of 11cc 20° JE pistons from Axtell.
Customer chose the S&S 585 cam, this will be a killer little 98”. I love the 4” stroke TC
Machined the proper squish band and removed the casting lumps down by the spark plug to gain a touch of chamber volume
Serious Street XB paired up with a 90” piston and Axtell cylinders headed to the midwest.
1.900 / 1.600 7mm ultra light premium steel valves with conical spring pack
B1 testing, winter builds are already in the works. 🤙🏻
