This year’s keynote speaker, Dr. Elizabeth Rule (Chickasaw Nation), will explore Native peoples’ pivotal role in our nation’s history, celebrate Indigenous contributions, and discuss ongoing efforts to reaffirm D.C. as an Indigenous place. She will highlight modern approaches to teaching about Indigenous peoples and how educators nationwide can ally with Native communities through lessons, inspiration, and empowerment.
