Don’t get food amnesia this Holiday! It’s extra, avoidable calories if you measure and log correctly! Classic examples of this are:
- A handful of candy from the candy jar.
- A bite of your partner’s pie.
- Forgetting you had an extra roll before dinner.
- Estimating 1 tbsp of butter when it was really 2 or 3 tbsp.
- Thinking your bagel was 250 calories, but it was really 340.
- Estimating that you ate 1/2 cup of mashed potatoes when it was actually a full cup.

It’s Tip Tuesday! The key to starting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle is to start SMALL. Trying to change everything about your life overnight usually results in failure by most. If you’re focused on your nutrition and health, take small steps to become the best version of you! Do one thing at a time, adding a new healthy habit every week. Some examples are: drinking a glass of water before each meal (or sneal)🚰, getting 7-8 hours of sleep 😴 , working out 🏋️, or even just eating breakfast 🍳 . This will allow for each new thing you incorporate to be more manageable and become long-lasting habits. Taking charge of your health will contribute to your overall wellbeing and can assist in losing weight or maintaining your ideal weight. ⚖️ This also will reduce your risk of chronic illness such as heart disease and diabetes. What else can you think of?!
