SWEAT Running Club SWEAT is a Non Profit 501 C 3 organization dedicated to promoting health and fitness through running

“Hi everyone! The SWEAT group run on Tuesday, January 24th will start at YMCA. There will be a 3 or 5 mile option. Meet at 5:45 pm, run at 6:00 pm. Don't forget your headlamp! Hope to see you there! - Christine”

There is a local runner looking to run on a relay team next Sunday.

Hi everyone! Happy New Year!
The SWEAT Group Run this Tuesday on Jan 3rd will start from the Seniors' Center/Elks Lodge parking lot. There will be a 3 or 5 mile option.
Please bring a headlamp!
Meet at 5:45 pm. The run starts at 6:00 pm.

There is still time to sign up for one of the 3 events on January 15, 2023.
A certified marathon from Shasta Dam to the Sundial Bridge, a 3 person relay or the Subaru Sundial 5k. Kids 13 and under can run the 5k for free but parent/guardian must sign them up.
Support the SWEAT RUNNING CLUB and it's high school scholarship program.

More race day volunteer opportunities-

2 course monitors for the Keswick Dam road crossing. 4 hr time commitment starting at 8:30 am.

1 course monitor to direct runners onto the Sundial Bridge. 2 hr time commitment starting at 12:30 pm.

1 person to take drop bags from the start(at the Dam) to the Keswick boat launch(aid station and 1/2 hand off for the relay). 8 am- 9 am.

Christmas lights run!

“Good evening! 12/13/22 Tuesday’s SWEAT Group Run is a Christmas lights run! We will be meeting at Ridgeview Park on Cumberland Drive for a neighborhood run! The address is 2059 Cumberland Drive. We meet at 5:45 pm and start running at 6:00 pm. There is a SWEAT meeting to follow, located at Holiday Market on Placer Street. There is a food court/eating area near the deli. The meeting starts at 7 pm. Hope you can make it to both! - Christine”

The Active 20-30 club is looking for volunteers for this weekend’s Redding a Christmas Lighted Parade. If you can help please reach out to Jay Stewart.
It’s is always a great opportunity to serve our community and other service organizations. The 20-30 club helped the SWEAT club at last years marathon and we look forward to having them join us again.

11 to 5 Tues and Wed @ the Sr. CITIZEN Hall 2290 Benton Drive, Redding.

To continue the tradition of donuts at the turkey trot? Stop by the senior citizen hall during packet pick up Tuesday 11 to 5 with a gift card from Heavenly Donuts or a little bit of cash and we will continue that tradition on race day. We have coffee and hot chocolate now we need the sweets. See Tori Parks .

With the Turkey Trot just around the corner, there are last minute traditions that you might be able to help with .
Looking for Heavenly Doughnut gift cards or cash to continue the tradition of Doughnuts and Coffee at the event. Sounds crazy but it was a tradition. Want to help? Message us and stop by pa ket pick.up at the Sr Cit Hall Tues 11 to 5 and find Tori Parks.

The November Monthly/Annual club meeting will be Tuesday the 15th at Cicadia Cantina at 7 pm. We will be outside so bundle up! We will cover regular club business, WS drawing, board members and officers. Come join us!

Now is the time to submit your intent to be in the drawing for the SWEAT clubs entry into Western States for 2023. Please email Bonnie at [email protected] with your qualifying race information and I will verify membership dates as well as volunteer service.

SWEAT Running Club Register for the Turkey Trot

Board members needed.

We need to add 2-4 more board members.
If you are an active member of the club, participate regularly in club events and have an interest in being apart of the future of SWEAT, please come to the next meeting on Oct 18 at 7 pm at Charlew’s downtown.
We meet on the third Tuesday of every month as well as some additional meetings to plan the clubs 3 big events in the fall and winter. Please comment below or reach out to a current board member: Bonnie, Jamie or Tori if interested. We will appoint new board members as well as have officer elections at the annual meeting in November.

2022 Turkey Trot The 2022 Turkey Trot is on Thursday November 24, 2022. It includes the following events: 2022 Turkey Trot 6 mile Run and 2 mile Fun Run Walk.
