Last week, Team Dahle attended the volunteer recognition event hosted by Dignity Health Connected Living and AmeriCorps Seniors of Northern California. AmeriCorps Seniors of Northern California comprises a network of national service programs that empower Americans aged 55 and older to utilize their life experience in addressing community needs.

It was truly inspiring to witness the turnout of volunteers at the event, all actively engaged in serving our North State communities. We are deeply grateful for the time and effort they have devoted to enriching our communities. Congratulations to this year’s award recipients, particularly those honored for their exceptional 20+ years of service- an incredible accomplishment. Veterans can now ride Redding Area Bus Authority for FREE on fixed routes and demand response services throughout Shasta County as of today, Tuesday, January 2nd!

For the past 14 years, the Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA) has collected donations for RABA Salute to the Veterans. The event provides local veterans with a punch pass valued at $10.00 to use on any RABA service. The Shasta County Veterans Services Office and ’s Finest distribute the passes. In an effort to make it easier for veterans to ride RABA services, veterans can show one of the following forms of ID cards to get a free ride on any RABA service:

🔵 An ID Card issued by RABA. This is available through an online application, via mail, or at the RABA Downtown Passenger Terminal and RABA Maintenance Facility in Redding. Applications are valid with approval from Nation’s Finest or the Shasta County Veterans Service Office
🔵A DD-214 or ID Card issued by the Veterans Administration (VA)
🔵An ID Card issued by CalVet
🔵An ID Card issued by VA Health
🔵A Driver’s License or ID Card issued by State DMV with a veteran’s designation
🔵An ID Card issued by the Department of Defense
