Thank you to our partners at Northern California Team Rubicon and Thrive friend Jim Smith for their support installing earthquake straps for furniture, appliances, and electronics at San Mateo County nonprofits and home daycares and to the Earthquake Country Alliance for providing these materials free of cost.
Small children and people with access and functional needs remain especially at risk of injury from falling objects during earthquakes because of their limited ability to “duck, cover, and hold.” Seismically securing your home, school, and office reduces the likelihood that heavy objects will fall on occupants when the region experiences its next moderate to strong earthquake, which could occur at any time.
If you are interested in securing your home, workplace or school, visit https://hubs.la/Q0239nN-0 to learn more.
