Best Massage Technique to Relieve Physiological Signs of Stress

Studies show us that, while massage therapy does improve stress levels in a positive way, it does matter what type of massage the client receives. Diego, et.al. (2004) shows us that moderate pressure results in a decrease in blood pressure and an increase in relaxation while light pressure or vibration results in an increase in physiological arousal symptoms. In addition, Cambron, et.al. (2006) points out that, while Swedish massage reduces blood pressure significantly, trigger point therapy and deep tissue massage actually increase blood pressure.

In other words, a moderate Swedish massage is far more relaxing, both medically as well as perceived by the client, than a deep tissue or trigger point therapy massage. Other forms of rigorous massage, stretching and movement are also shown to increase stimulation and therefore blood pressure and physiological responses in the body.

Essentially, studies have shown what most massage therapists already knew: that a moderate pressure Swedish massage can bring about a state of calm, blissful relaxation that lowers blood pressure and reduces stress for most people, making massage an important part of our healthcare regiment in our fast-paced, stressful, modern world.

Do you like to have facial massage? Well, who doesn't!
What does the research say about facial massage?

The following are some scientific studies that support the potential benefits of facial massage for skin health:

1. A study published in the Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research found that facial massage increased blood flow and oxygen saturation levels in the facial skin, suggesting
improved circulation and nutrient delivery to the skin cells.

2.Research published in the Journal of Physical Therapy Science demonstrated that facial massage reduced muscle tension in the face and improved skin elasticity and collagen production, indicating support for aging skin.

3. A study published in the Journal of Cutaneous and Aesthetic Surgery showed that facial massage improved lymphatic drainage, reducing facial puffiness and edema.

4. In a study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, facial massage was found to stimulate collagen production and increase skin thickness, suggesting potential benefits for improving skin texture and softening adhesions occurring in the tissues.

5. Research published in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology showed that facial massage enhanced the absorption of topical skincare products, increasing their effectiveness in improving skin hydration and barrier function.

6. A study published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology Symposium Proceedings indicated that facial massage could modulate inflammation and promote wound healing, potentially aiding in the improvement of acne and scar appearance.

Oh an the best is that it just feel heavenly 🤩

Why not just move on? Why would you want to drive 4 hours for a massage?? 🤯
I know the going rates in town and I know my skills. Just move on.

Photos from Naturally Well's post 10/02/2023

Good morning friends!!
I have moved my office to my home in Lemmon Valley.
I now have openings for massage, waxing or facial clients.
Many who live in the north may not want to have to drive into town with all the traffic, so this could be a great option!
Please share with your friend who may be local to the area.
I can't wait to meet new clients. :-)

This is a Skincare tool that Image used to use.
I really like it because it talks about the various components or ingredients that make a up good skin care routine.
antioxidants are needed to help quench free radical damage that happens from the sun and other cellular processes that occur naturally.
Lightning agents can be helpful to combat damage that is done by the sun damage that builds up over the years from the sun or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation .
Which brings up sunscreen! Sunscreen is a basic to help with that damage that can be done by the sun . ☀️
Peptides are great to add them to your skin care routine they help build and repair the skin.
and last, but not least things like retinal’s, and other treatments that help to build and repair collagen.
All of these things are necessary to have healthy skin.
of course, the products that you use will be specific to your skin concerns, age and skin type.

Such amazing results!

“I was diagnosed with tongue cancer and had surgery to remove 1/3 of my tongue. I ended up with scars across my neck. A friend sent me some Recovery serum by NeoGenesis and I used it on my scar. I continued to use the Recovery serum on my neck and I saw my radiologist last week she was blown away at how well my neck scar is healing.

As you can see from the pictures, the scarring is almost gone from the Recovery serum. I am so grateful for everything that the NeoGenesis products continue to do for me.” – Jamie Powell

We are so glad S²RM® Technology was able to help topically for Jamie during her oncology journey. 🤍

EVERYONE NEEDS A VITAMIN C SERUM! 🍊 If you are doing anything remotely anti aging or repairing, it won’t mean much without it! Alto by is my go to!

Vitamin C is a normal skin constituent that is found at high levels in both the dermis and epidermis. Aging, however, causes a decline in vitamin C content in both the epidermis & dermis. Excessive exposures to UV light or pollutants (e.g., cigarette smoke and ozone) may also lower vitamin C content, primarily in the epidermis.

Vitamin C limits the damage induced by ultraviolet (UV) light exposure. Vitamin C is not a “sunscreen” because it does not absorb light in the UVA or UVB spectrum. Rather, the antioxidant activity of vitamin C protects against UV-induced damage caused by free radicals. UV light decreases vitamin C content of skin, an effect that is dependent on the intensity & duration of UV exposure.

In addition to its antioxidant functions, vitamin C regulates the synthesis of the structural protein collagen. The role of vitamin C in the hydroxylation of collagen molecules is well characterized. Hydroxylation of collagen is necessary for its extracellular stability & support of the epidermis.

Vitamin C has been shown to stabilize collagen mRNA, thus increasing collagen protein synthesis for repair of the damaged skin. This occurs concurrently with a decrease in elastin production; the elastin protein is often overproduced in response to photodamage. Vitamin C also increases the proliferation rate of fibroblasts, a capacity that is decreased with age. Further, vitamin C stimulates DNA repair in cultured fibroblasts.

Topical vitamin C has also been shown to reverse some of the age-related structural changes in the interface between the dermis and the epidermis.

Vitamin C is an essential part of skin health both as an antioxidant and as a critical factor for collagen synthesis. Vitamin C contributes to photoprotection, decreases photodamage, and is needed for adequate wound healing.

Use the right products! Your skin deserves it. Let's take a look at why Pepti-tone is great for your skin. Pepti-tone holds a key ingredient called proline, which has the ability to strengthen and renew aging skin cells.
One-sixth of collagen, a major building block of skin (and its youthful appearance), is comprised of proline (Wikipedia). According to research, proline can break down protein to help create healthy cells and connective tissues, promoting firmer, glowing skin and reducing sagging, wrinkles, and aging of skin due to sun exposure.
Unveil a youthful glow 🤩😘

Vitamin c is a staple skin car product, beneficial for all skin types.
It can be lightly hydrating, brightens pigment, and boosts collagen production when applied topically.

Vitamin C is also great to use during the daytime to help quench to free radical damage that can be done by the sun ☀️

Do you apply vitamin C serum to your skin??
