TMCC TRIO SSS
The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program is one of eight federally funded programs through the U.S. Department of Education.
The goal of SSS is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants.

Telemundo Reno pays a visit to TMCC to feature TRIO Student Support Services Program’s involvement in reading Alejandra Campoverdi’s, “FIRST GEN: A Memoir” as part of the Opportunity Matters Book Club, organized by the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE). This initiative aims to engage first-generation and low-income students in meaningful discussions about opportunity, equity, and access, and reflect upon their unique journeys, filled with challenges and triumphs that impact the college going experiences.
Thank you to everyone who came to support our TRIO Day of Service Donation Campaign and Paint Event! All of our donations will be going to the TMCC Wizards Warehouse!

“College is all about expanding your horizons” and our TMCC TRIO SSS took this further by visiting UNLV and participating in an Admission presentation, learning about 300+ undergraduate and graduate majors, world-class College Hospitality and a top 100 Law School, and the state’s only School of Dental Medicine. Special thanks to Molly with admissions and Kyle with our TRIO SSS family, The Center For Academic Enrichment and Outreach (CAEO) for the warm hospitality and welcome!
Shout out to Nevada State College, Charles Buckner with Admission & Records, Alicia Cooper with TransfeCenter, and our TRIO Family Dr Kimberly Williams, Lakiasha Hollingsworth and staff for hosting us! Our National TRIO Day Paint Event/Donation Campaign was postponed due to weather conditions. However, that did not stop participants from joining us a week later and bringing some fantastic donations for the Wizards Warehouse Pantry!
