Dining by Design - Personal Chef Service is announcing our relocation with the closing of our Reno, NV site. We have enjoyed serving you in the Silver State over the past 23+ years, and we thank you for your patronage.

How’ve you been?: It has been a while since my blog has been sleeping. The Covid-19 Pandemic brought me incredible opportunities to expand my work experience within the food allergy world. But, my gratitude to be able to expand my passion of raising awareness has grown in gorgeous ways! One thing I feel strongly about and will continue to support is to support medically vetted research, inclusion, awareness, and information sharing.

I still am getting my head around the Pandemic, the isolation, the healing, and the ten million other layers of living through a global crisis. As we move forward with newer versions of Covid-19, I realize that solid information sharing, awareness, kindness and resources are still the base for all things food allergies.

Treatments like OIT and The Patch offer us glimpses into exciting new opportunities to impact food allergic reactions. However, until there is a cure, relying on facts, resources and information are important than ever. Therefore, as my blog “wakes up,” stay tuned for posts about old favorites and new resources, products, or ideas.

I aim to continue uplifting the tools and people we enjoy in this vast food allergy world. The Pandemic taught me to slow down and how to keep focused on the things that are important in my life. I secretly enjoyed having both kids under our roof during the early stages of the Pandemic. Blessed with work, food, and space (we live on one acre), I soaked up every positive minute. Not everyone had jobs or ample food during the days of lockdown, and I am grateful for what we had to manage those dark days.

Wishing everyone good days and bad days that are manageable-I also came to terms with my Polly Anna soul. We all have bad days, months, and maybe even a few years, but how we manage during those times impacts the outcome. Okay, perhaps I still have some Polly Anna attitude in my blood!

I leave you with my recent favorite quote from Maya Angelou:
“Nobody, but nobody, can make it out here alone”.
