Gun violence is a public health problem. In 2023, more than 40,000 people died from gun-related injuries across the U.S.

The warmer months have finally arrived here in northern Nevada! Before you spend those long days out in the sun, it’s important to prepare yourself with lots of fluids and sun protection. Staying Safe in the Sun As it gets warmer, practitioners believe many people are not aware of how serious being in the heat can be if you're not careful.

The wait is over! We are proud to announce that TODAY, the entrance to the Renown South Meadows Medical Center off Double R Blvd. has reopened to the public. Cars can now access the campus from both the north and south off Double R Blvd.

Later this week, a new traffic light will be installed at the main entrance (across from Dutch Bros Coffee) to increase safety for those entering and exiting the hospital. Stay tuned for more information on our South Meadows expansion efforts!

Moms who have newborns in our NICU this Mother’s Day were welcomed with some special items of comfort from two Moms of Preschoolers (MOPS) groups from Grace Church Reno and Summit Church. As a part of their service project, they put together care packages with gift cards and sweet treats for our NICU moms along with crocheted shawls that, when wrapped around their shoulders, feel like a warm hug.
