Sugaring aftercare is important and it determines your overall results!

When you receive a sugaring service, aftercare is important to properly heal and care for the skin between appointments keeping your skin in ideal condition for maintence.

We educate clients on the three key aspects of after care: cleanse, moisturize and exfoliate as well as recommend products to help keep the skin in ideal condition.

⚡️Cleanse: Keep the area clean and help balance the body's natural PH level.

⚡️Moisturize: Helps to calm skin after services, decrease ingrown hairs, and provides healing and hydration.

⚡️Exfoliate: Keeps the skin as smooth as possible while also adding to ingrown hair prevention. Exfoliation should be done 1-2x a week.

Keeping your skin in good condition between appointments allows for smoother hair removal on your next appointment. If you have concerns about your skin between services, reach out - I want you to get the most out of your sugaring with the best results!

Tattoo Brightening is available on any area as a stand alone service to exfoliate, brighten & moisturize your skin pictures! Price ranges from $15-100 depending on the size of your collection.

Pre-Tattoo Prep services are also available. This service is ideal for the skin to get it sugared smooth in the area of your next piece by exfoliating and prepping the skin for your appointment! Price range for this service is $25-85 depending on location and size!

Yes.

🤔Am I bleeding?

No, but these are called pinpoint bleeders and they are a good thing!

In successful sugaring, we remove hairs at the root during their Anagen growth cycle (aka: active or baby phase), during this time the root is firmly attached to its blood based nutrient source. At flicking, the hair is detached from this source and drawn upward through the follicle to the surface of the skin, bringing it's last little drink with it.

We get excited to see them because they usually signal that the hair will not regrow or will be substantially weakened in that follicle going forward.They are most often experienced in the first 3 cycles of removal.

Consistent sugaring = reduced hair regrowth and amazingly smooth results!

Breakthrough growth - let's break this one down...

When sugaring for hair removal, our best path to continued reduction and maintenance is at the very beginning, This is why I recommend your first 3 appointments be scheduled 3 to 4 weeks apart.

This way we can synchronize your growth cycles tighter than a 00’s boy band 🎤 and keep you smoother longer by removing hair during active growth cycles.

You cannot fast forward or “trigger” a new growth cycle, it is a cellular activity and is individual to ourselves, if you have a lengthy growing phase and we remove the hair at the beginning of it you get to be smoother longer!!

If we remove hair in the middle or at the end where it would naturally shed or you have a shorter growth stage, you will probably find it seems to grow back “faster”.

This weird breakthrough growth is where most people decide to shave and push their appointment, it can be for a variety of reasons….I’ve heard them all 😉 BUT I urge you to hold strong, hold out and to drop the 🪒.

Shaving a day or two before your follow up appointment means I cannot extract it and it will get stronger and thicker in the follicle and it will continue to be on a different cycle then the sugared areas.

Our goal (this is a team effort) is to make it to maintenance, where all hair is removed and growing on the same schedule but this is going to take you being strong and avoiding that razor!

SMOOTHER LONGER might mean telling people to mind their own hair growth business and to not give a FUZZ while we make it to our end goal of healthy smooth skin where ever you choose it.

Here's how it works: Once you are in maintenance (3 regular appointments),

I often get asked, "What do you think about during a brazilian sugaring? Isn't it awkward or uncomfortable?"

Well, let me break it down for you! After my intial check of the area to look for any irritation or ingrown hairs, my mind is off to the races with tons of other things as I just get down to business sugaring 🍯.

While it may seem like I’m elbows deep in awkwardness, I am often thinking about what I am going to do after work, what I might want to eat when I get my next break, creating my grocery list, or the last episode of the current show I am binging. It's Skin Cancer Awareness Month so I want to remind you...WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN! Now that more beautiful and sunny weather is on its way, I'm sure you will be outside a lot more, so I'm extending a friendly reminder to get and USE a good SPF! Some people may be more prone to burning, but ALL skin tones burn and contract skin cancer. If you need any recommendations - reach out! It's easy to protect yourself from UV exposure... Long-sleeved shirts, pants, and a wide-brimmed hat offer the best protection. If you're wearing a baseball cap or short-sleeved shirt, put sunscreen on your ears, neck, and arms. Seek shade as much as possible between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., peak times for sunlight. Use a sunscreen of at least SPF 15 on any exposed skin, and don't forget to re-apply it every two hours, as well as after swimming, sweating, or toweling off.
