I love the moments I remember to stop and look. Notice the color changes. The textures. Surfaces connected and apart. The space I’m in begins to look 2 dimensional. Like a collage or painting. When we stop to look we can find our thoughts and feel our breath.

Rp from As we enter October, the month of domestic violence awareness, I would like to address victim blaming/shaming. Every single question listed, makes the victim responsible for the abuse inflicted on/towards them and the trauma experienced is invalidated.
highlights what happens, when we shift accountability from the perpetrator to the victim/survivor.
This creates a culture of silence and mistrust against the victim/survivor, which is re-traumatizing. And it takes all of us,
While violence against women is an issue, domestic violence affects all individuals regardless of s*x, gender, gender identity/expression and s*xual orientation as well as all other social identities-cultures.

October is but this is happening around you on a daily basis. We don’t have to treat it like a secret. Use your voice when you see something happening in case the survivor is unable to.
