Today at the 2024 Kentucky Harm Reduction Summit, MCCC's Serenity House staff were in full force! They set up an informative booth, sharing about our vital services for pregnant women battling substance use. Located in Inez, KY, Serenity House offers a safe haven with long-term recovery support, including post-partum care for new moms. We're committed to promoting self-awareness and recovery in a nurturing environment.
Located in Inez, Kentucky, Serenity House is a residential treatment facility for pregnant females who are currently using opiates and other substances. We provide a multidisciplinary approach to recovery that is designed to be long-term in order to provide a safe environment for expectant mothers. Additionally, 90 days of post-partum care is offered while mothers bond with their baby. Mothers are allowed to keep up to two toddlers under the age of three on site while in treatment at Serenity House. Residents must have full, legal custody of all children in their care.
Our Mission: Serenity House seeks to promote self-awareness, self-expression, and recovery in a safe, drug free environment. We strive to provide pregnant females who are struggling with behavioral health disorders, the skills necessary for recovery.
Our accommodations were selected to create a homelike atmosphere, allowing comfort in a positive recovery environment.
Life at Serenity House includes:
Privacy - All rooms at Serenity House are private and secure.
Social Life - A common living area provides room for entertainment, creativity, and friendship.
Community - Our shared kitchen and dining space encourages a sense of community while promoting positive routines.
Safety - Cribs in each room provide a safe and comfortable sleeping space for your baby.
Family - Keeping toddlers on-site during your stay promotes continuity and healthy early development.

Mountain's Greenhouse Programs - Where plants help people grow!
MCCC's Day Training Program provides supportive instruction to developmentally and intellectually disabled adults in a positive environment at each of its greenhouse facilities. Day Training focuses on the development and enhancement of vocational and other life skills, providing the opportunity for individuals to improve their independence through vocational tasks; social interaction and interpersonal relationships; effective communication; enhancement of self-care and daily living skills; money management and community participation.
All sites provide greenhouse and woodwork items for sale to the public. We also provide fundraising events and tours for local schools and organizations. Rental items for special events are also available. The greenhouse program provides a variety of locally grown vegetable plants, house plants, annual flowers, perennials, trees and shrubs. Poinsettia sales begin each November. Spring gardening supplies also include seeds, fertilizer, onion sets and seed potatoes.
Gardening helps Revived Essence Recovery females feel calm and less stressed. It also gives them a sense of achievement and supports their healing.
