Redeemer CDC’s first chapel service of the school year happened yesterday! Our kids learned all about God creating the earth! 🌎

We LOVE seeing the kids learn about Jesus and worship Him through music! So beautiful! 🎶

When you can’t get to the beach, Mrs. Naomi brings the beach to you! 🏖️

If you haven't already heard, our favorite cutie, Mrs. Kimmick, is retiring! This Friday, September 6th, will be her last day at Redeemer!

We appreciate and love Mrs. Kimmick so much! We're going to miss her dearly!

Our Pre-K Classes had an apple-tastic time experiencing all things APPLES! 🍎

Our friends taste-tested different apple items: applesauce, apple juice, and apples! Their favorite? The cinnamon applesauce! 😋

They even made fun apple art and played apple-themed games! It was the apple-solutely best time! 🍏

Our summer campers had a wheelie great time during Bike Day! 🚲

Our local CCPD came out and taught the kids all about bike safety! Afterwards, everyone got to participate in an obstacle course created by the officers!

The kids were so pumped up and had a great time! 🛞

The Turtle class had the zest time tasting tropical fruit today! 🥭

These are the different fruits they explored:
- avocado 🥑
- banana 🍌
- dragonfruit 🐉
- pineapple 🍍
- golden kiwi 🥝
- ground cherries 🍒
- mango 🥭
- cactus fruit 🌵

Everyone was so brave about trying new things, and many found new foods that they liked! Not only did the kids get to taste different fruits, they also got to see/hold them in their full form! So fun! 🤩

Water day was a SPLASH! 💦

The heatwave has nothing on our fun! 🤩

Our kiddos sure do love the water! 🩵

We had a fun visit from the Health Department today.

They did a lesson on the importance of handwashing!

The younger kids learned how to use their germ catchers, sang songs about washing their hands, and learned how soap chases away germs.

The older classes had an interactive lesson with a story and games! Such a fun way to learn how to about hygiene.

“I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!” 🍦

Another favorite field trip for our Explorers and Adventurers is visiting Bruster’s! They got to learn how to make banana ice cream (and even sampled it too!). 🍌 They loved seeing what it takes to make the ice cream and the behind-the-scene’s process! 🍨

Our campers even got to make their own ice cream sundaes afterwards and pick out their favorite toppings! It might have been the cherry on top of their day even! 🍒

Thank you Bruster’s for such a fun experience!

VBS Scuba was turtle-y awesome!!! 🐢

This past week the kids learned about how DEEP and how WIDE God’s love is for them! ❤️

Everyone had a whale-y good time playing games and making fin-tastic crafts too! 🐠

10/10 recommend going to Trader Joe's for a field trip! The Explorers had a grape time learning about how a grocery store runs! 🍇

The kids were egg-cited to try different samples, including: cherry tomatoes, gluten-free cupcakes, and allergy-friendly cookies! 🍪

Their behind-the-scenes tour was very a-peel-ing! They saw one of the workers, Rachel, create the signs for the windows and aisles, watched old boxes being compacted, and met Trader Joe’s store mascot: Bonnie the Koala! 🐨

They also learned that no food goes to waste because any leftovers are donated to the local food pantry: FeedMore! 🛒 🥫

Trader Joe’s really knows how to turnip the fun! A berry cool field trip indeed! 🍓

A HUGE thank you to Station 24 at Chesterfield County Fire + EMS! 🚒 🚑

Our summer campers had THE BEST TIME learning all about firefighters and medics! They learned fire safety, explored different parts of the fire engine, and saw a fire hose in action! They even got to take turns handling the hose too! So fun! 💦

The firefighters were so patient and kind with the kids asking ALL the questions! 😂

Thank you so much again to Station 24 for taking time out of their day to teach the kids and show them around the station! They’ll be talking about this field trip the rest of the summer! ❤️
