🌟 Make a Difference in a Child’s Life – Become a CASA Volunteer! 🌟
Join us on August 27th for a virtual information session about becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer with SCAN. Right now, there are over 62 children in Richmond City and Petersburg waiting for someone like you to advocate for them.
As a CASA volunteer, you’ll ensure that the needs of children who have been abused or neglected are heard – both in the community and in the courtroom. You’ll be a consistent, caring adult in a child’s life, helping to guide them through difficult times and ensuring their best interests are always the top priority.
CASA volunteers come from all walks of life and share a common goal: to make a positive impact on a child's future. If you’re ready to make a difference, join our session to learn more about how you can help.

SCAN's CASA program needs your help to advocate for children in Petersburg! You can help ensure all children involved in a case at the Juvenile and Domestic Courts has an advocate because all children deserve a safe, permanent home and the opportunity to thrive.
SCAN's CASA program recently expanded to serve Petersburg and is in need of volunteers to serve children in both Petersburg and Richmond. SCAN's Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program has a critical need for volunteers to serve children in Richmond and Petersburg. There are currently 65 children on our waitlist in need of an advocate.
Children who have experienced abuse or neglect may face a lot of change and uncertainty. Courtrooms. Foster care. New schools. All while dealing with the trauma of abuse or neglect, and potentially the trauma of being removed from home. At CASA, we make sure children don’t face this alone.

CPP is a therapeutic preschool that serves children who have experienced early trauma or adversity. They focus on social-emotional education and supporting caregiver-child relationships as well as preparing children for Kindergarten.
