Our therapists are always looking for unique ways to make therapy exciting and enjoyable! As Jen, one of our occupational therapists, explains: “In feeding therapy, we use ‘purposeful play strategies for improved tolerance and interaction with non-preferred food items,’ in an effort to expand the client’s food range...for optimal growth and development.” In this case: turn playing with a T-Rex toy into therapy!

Let’s talk therapy….

This blue suit is called a body sock (or lovingly called the “blueberry suit” at our Berea clinic)! It provides additional deep pressure and tactile input to help with overall regulation and body awareness. With this kiddo, the extra deep pressure helps his body know where he is in space and is regulating for the nervous system.
