Rifle Metro Pool's 2024 swimming lessons officially ended this week, as Session Four wrapped up with the traditional family day Thursday. Participants were able to show their families what they learned during the session. Rifle Parks and Recreation is proud to work with Rifle American Legion Post 78 again this year as they host Discover Scuba, 8 am to 5 pm, Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Rifle Metro Pool. The event is open to veterans, active duty military, first responders, and their families and friends. No experience is necessary. The pool will be closed during the event. The wait is almost over, there is less than two months until the opening of the 2024 season at Rifle Metro Pool. Rifle Metro Pool Closed for the Season

RIFLE, CO (August 1, 2023) –
Due to extensive damage resulting from a suspected lightning strike, Rifle Metro Pool will be closed for the remainder of the season. According to Parks and Recreation Director Austin Rickstrew, repairs will not be made in time to finish out the season.
The pool was originally scheduled to close on September 4th.
Rifle Parks and Recreation staff will be processing prorated refunds for those who were enrolled in Session Four swimming lessons. Any individuals with pre-purchased tickets for one of the swim sessions will also receive a full refund. Anyone with questions or concerns may call the Recreation office at 970-665-6574.

Rifle Parks and Recreation Staff would like to thank everyone who participated in programs and patronized the pool this summer.

Rifle Metro Pool will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, August 1st, due to power outage disruptions caused by the storm that passed through Rifle Monday evening.

URGENT UPDATE:
The July 3rd Fireworks show has been CANCELED due to the increasing fire danger in the area. However, all other July 3rd festivities are a go as initially planned, including food trucks, discounted pool sessions, bounce houses, and much more family fun at Metro Park and the concert in Centennial Park featuring Noodle Soup at 7:00 pm followed by Symphony in the Valley at 8:00 pm!

NOTE:
Rifle Municipal Code Sec. 10-10-40. - Open burning prohibited.
(a) Open burning of fires, including the sale, possession, or use of fireworks, is prohibited in the City from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year. Fireworks cautions and restrictions across Garfield County.
