Thinking about "assisted migration"...for plants and animals facing climate change! Here is the flower of the "tulip tree", a slightly more southern species (it's in CT and south), that I'd like to plant at work or home. Climate change is taking a toll on the natural world! You can help us reduce greenhouse gases by donating to the Monadnock Sustainability Hub through NH Gives, today, Wed. 6/12! Donate here:

Support Monadnock Sustainability Hub | NH Gives 2024 06/12/2024

Reaching out to many of my favorite former students! I am working with a group MMonadnock Sustainability Hubthat is actively implementing solutions to the climate crisis! We are reducing greenhouse gases by writing a grant for the first EV fast charger in the area, installing solar panels to support local farms, helping people weatherize their homes and electrify their lives with clean energy! We are in the midst of a 24-hour fundraiser, and we have match so all your donations will be doubled! There is a prize for the group that has the most donations so even a small amount is helpful. Donate at the link below if you can, by Wed. 6/12 at 5 pm, and THANK YOU!

Hey there! Are you worried about climate change? (You should be! 2023 was the hottest year in human history). I am working with the Monadnock Sustainability Hub to implement solutions to climate change!

We are at the start of NH Gives, a 24-hour fundraising event from Tues June 11 at 5 pm until Wed. June 7 at 5 pm. We will match all donations up to $5000 – so your donation will be doubled! We are trying to win a special prize for the most individual donations, so even if you aren’t in a position to give much, any amount will help.
Click on the link below to donate, and THANK YOU!!!

Remember, slashing greenhouse gas emissions anywhere helps ease climate change everywhere, so you don’t need to live in the Monadnock Region to feel the positive effects of our work.

Another great Climate Cafe happening this week at the Keene Public Library! Rob Werner will talk about all the pro- (and anit-) climate solution legislation in Concord and in Washington. Join us, it's a great way to connect with other concerned citizens.

It's official: 2023 is Earth's hottest year we have on record - and even more important, the hottest ten years on record are the last ten years: 2014-2023.

The time is right for a Climate Cafe focusing on connecting with each other and supporting solutions, focusing on the changes right here at home: how the land and water in Keene and the Monadnock region are being affected, and will be affected down the road.

Don't miss it! On Thursday, February 15, 6:30-8:00pm, at the Keene Public Library, the focus will be on New Hampshire land and water, with special guest Professor Michael Simpson from Antioch University, presenting the latest research on local and regional impacts.

The evening's format will be similar to previous Climate Cafes - plenty of time for sharing experiences and actions - with a brief presentation and discussion with Professor Simpson to round out our time together.

As always, it's free. To help us plan, register for free at https://climate-and-land-water.eventbrite.com

West Keene is a place of many small fields and we are grateful for those landowners that allow us to graze their properties. One week on a small field is one less week we have to feed hay.
We moved the herd to fresh pasture today that I don't think has seen cows in quite some time.
