Just cruised a loop from Main Street up to the Red Cabin site on the Upper Kinni and was surprised to find 2’-3’ of visibility and very high but very fishable water! Farm fields in our area are fully saturated with standing water that is slowly trickling into trout streams causing the flows to level out in really high conditions, but lots of fishable water out there folks!

New goodies in the shop! These make an awesome fly drying patch, an aid for rigging multiple fly rigs, or even a fly storage spot. The Mag Grabs from make an excellent addition to the shop. Nothing to pin on or Velcro to stick to, these magnetic fly holders come with a metal plate you can slip into your waders, you shirt, or even a pack or vest to position the magnetic plate to. It also has a lanyard loop so you can also hang it from a zipper pull or a carabiner.

Sorry, these are not available on our website and there will be no holds. You have to stop into the shop to get one. We open Monday morning at 9am, limit 1 per customer!

Yes, it’s that time already!

Local waters are back to being a little on the low and clear side. Fishing has been better earlier in the day on these bright sunny days than in the afternoon sun. A great BWO hatch today on the Kinni of size 18 olives. The streamer bite is definitely on as well! Rob fooled this chunky 18” brown just after getting broken off by a monster in the same spot.
