WHAT IS PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING?

Plasma Skin Tightening is a revolutionary treatment that
allows us to eliminate the excess tissue that causes wrinkles and sagging skin. When the skin is exposed to plasma energy, it goes through the process of sublimation (the action of turning matter from solid, to gas bypassing the liquid stage). In other words, we are ‘evaporating’ the excess tissue without the application of excess heat and in a very superficial manner. This sublimation effect causes an instant contraction of the tissue, eliminating wrinkles and sagging skin. Here you see the nose change shape as the skin is shrinking. The surface is smoother and the structure more evenly proportioned. This treatment is a direct alternative to facial surgery without the risk and the high cost! Plasma pen has a tip that converts power into an electrostatic impulse. When the needle comes close to the skin layer, a mixture of oxygen-nitrogen occurs, which emits a flash of plasma light. For a tenth of a second, a microchannel opens in the skin layer, the heat from the plasma flash causes the excess fluid to evaporate out of your skin. This results in an immediate tightening. The superficial wound that occurs stimulates the skin's own regeneration of fibroblasts, and this is an important part of the skin's healing process and collagen production. When the skin heals, the skin edge pulls together and creates additional tightening.

The treatment is very kind to the skin with no damage on the surrounding tissue and therefore has a limited downtime. It simply eliminates the first signs of aging and restores lines and wrinkles, taking years off your look.
During a consultation, we look over where the treatment fits the client best due to the problem they want to treat. Favorite areas are loose skin on the stomach, eyelid lift, stretch marks, lip lift, and of course scar treatments.
We have a background as a registered nurse, and I did the plasma education at a local provider.

The dots disappear within one week in the face area and about two weeks on the body. "Then a slight redness can be seen where the dots have been. Full results will appear after eight to 12 weeks and sometimes the the recovery takes even longer before the skin is completely healed. During the healing process, it is important to avoid the sunlight and use SPF 50. During the first two days you should also avoid makeup on the treated area, and no alpha-hydroxy products the first week. The procedure is slightly uncomfortable, you are numbed for 45-60 minutes.

Fibroblast Plasma Therapy is a new skin tightening procedure. It delivers tiny arcs of plasma created by an electrical discharge via a “plasma pen” to the skin, singeing the surface and tightening the underlying tissue. A Fibroblast Plasma Therapy treatment only affects a tiny pin-point of tissue with each firing. The treatment is performed by repeatedly applying the pen in grid pattern over the treatment area. There are few risks of complications.
The plasma tip doesn’t directly touch the skin, but instead releases a targeted current just above the skin. The hot current creates small holes, or micro-injuries, in the skin’s layer. the thermal disruption, or heat damage, from plasma fibroblast therapy:

•breaks down proteins in the skin
•encourages tissue regeneration
•stimulates fibroblast activity
•causes tissue contraction (tightening)
Healthcare providers may also call this approach plasma skin resurfacing.

seborrheic keratosis

Jelly Masks are the hottest trend in the beauty industry today. They come in all colors/scents and many active ingredients. A Mask is applied during our Posh Deluxe Facials, after extractions. Your skin specialist will select the best mask for you, depending on your skin needs or what you are trying to achieve. A jelly mask can either calm inflammation from extractions, hydrate, lightens dark spots, nourishes, etc. These jelly masks are fun, relaxing and gentle. They are left on 10-20 minutes.
Please note: This type of mask although fun, may not be the strongest or best choice for troubled skin. They are great for skin that needs a little pick me up! A facial is a skin Treatment, it is not a one size fits all, steps and products are modified based on individual needs, in order to give you the optimal results. With each continuous facial, we enhance/increase product strength to see progress every time vs. a staple routine to relax and nap (we do that too lol but not our goal)!
