February Sound bath Meditation💜💜💜

Bring your family and friends for a sound bath meditation. You'll be submerged in a soundscape of healing vibrations transmitted through crystal quartz singing bowls, binaural synthesized frequencies, and indigenous percussion instruments, all played with the intention to heal and uplift one's mind, body, and soul. Recommended to wear comfy clothing. Bring blankets and pillows.

Our Sacred Space Riverside is looking to hire a yoga teacher for afternoon/evening classes beginning in February. We are looking for dedicated yoga teachers who are attentive to all skill levels. We are a trauma sensitive community center and offer a safe space for all walks of life. We are looking for someone who is trauma sensitive or is willing to learn how to be.

Its been a few weeks since our kids from our kids classes have shifted gears from weekly group classes to weekly one on one time preparing for their winter show case in December. Each of these kids have been putting in hard work during personalized sessions with me where we work on flexibility and strengthening tailored to their unique bodies, along with choreographing and memorizing their unique routines. All of these beautiful babies are going to have their time to shine on stage to show off all the amazing things they’ve learned this year and they are working so, so hard to do their best for show time.

Last week we got to shift back to group play for our Halloween party where we came together for crafts, fun and games and I just had to show off their cuteness. ❤️❤️❤️

So incredibly honored to have the privilege of working with these amazing little humans.

Three years ago I was working as a Respiratory Therapist. I made amazing money but was working 80 hour weeks and never seeing my children. I saved 100s of peoples lives but also saw many people pass in my presence, some in ways that still haunt me to this day. But in 2019 I worked myself to the point of almost passing myself. I lost myself in my work, spiritually mentally and physically. At the time it felt fulfilling simply because my passion was and always has been healing people but the truth is I was using it to dissociate from all the pain and trauma I was refusing to acknowledge. I was placed in a medically induced coma and on a vent for almost two months because my body was shutting down on me. I was given a 40% of making it through and my family was faced with the possibly of having to say their goodbyes to me. It makes me sad to think of what they were experiencing during all this and still causes me pain to think about possibly leaving my children without a mama. After waking and slowly starting to heal my body I became a different person. My experience changed me to my core. My body had been detoxed of all toxins and I water fasted for 11 days. During this time I spoke to Spirit, I gained clarity and enlightenment. I was given a new set of eyes and ears. I channeled pages of messages that Spirit wanted me to work towards. At the time I didn't understand some of the things but I had faith. Faith that I was given another chance at life yet again for a reason. I know one very important thing. I am doing Spirits work and I am HAPPY. I own my own business and get to have fun all while supporting my children and I. I truly thank Spirit for all that is provided. I thank myself for having faith in the process and doing what I love for not letting others perceptions of me stop me. I get to go to work, heal people and truly enjoy what I am doing.

Do you want to learn how to give the healing energy of Reiki? This ancient healing method can be given to people, animals, plants, and even inanimate objects; and is given in the hospital setting, hospice, palliative care, cancer settings, and wellness centers.

If you are a caregiver of any kind, parent, social worker, nurse, teacher, pet parent, chaplain, massage therapist; this is the class for you. Jennifer is a Usui Reiki Master and Karuna Reiki Master. Jennifer will share how she has used Reiki in hospice, palliative, support groups, and as a pet parent. She will also share how to make a crystal reiki grid for remote healing.

Before I am a business owner, I am a mother. Before we are a business, we are a family. Before we are business partners, we are life partners. If we aren’t solid in our home front, we can not provide to our community. We’ve been taking the month of June to organize our priorities, enjoy the kids during summer vacation, and plan for the next season. We thank you all for your patience as we’ve disappeared from being present on social media and as we’ve taken a break from holding community events. We are excited to be preparing to return to creating, collaborating, and announcing our new calendar. ❤️

Recently I worked an event where I worked on people who had never heard of the approach we take at our space. One special woman came to my table seeking help. When I first attempted to go through the initial intake where we discuss expectations, needs and boundaries, she said “you’re the boss. You decide everything.”

Oh beautiful soul, how my heart crushed to hear those words.

We had a beautiful conversation after she said those words to me. But Im posting this as a reminder to all of you, YOU are always the boss when it comes to your body.

NOT your boyfriend/husband
NOT your girlfriend/wife
NOT your yoga instructor
NOT your teacher
NOT your priest
NOT your shaman
NOT your personal trainer

YOU are the boss of your body. Only you. Always you.

There are many people available to guide you and help you with decisions that come to your body. But it should always be okay for you to say NO. It should always be okay for you to set boundaries. It should always be okay for you to express your needs.

And this is not to shame anyone who has ever been in a position where you didn’t feel safe enough to say no when wanting to. To anyone who has ever frozen in fear instead of saying no, my heart goes out to you. I know, personally, how incredibly painful and confusing that experience can be. I see you. You didn’t deserve that. You deserved safety.

And this is why my everything goes into creating a safe space where body work and physical body classes take place. Where your boundaries and expectations are set before we even begin any service. Where saying no is okay. Where your therapists and teachers check in on you. Where there are different options to express a no if you are ever feeling unable to use your words. It’s important for me to always operate from this space and it’s important that all of our practitioners take this same approach.

I myself am a survivor of trauma. I have suffered enough and I would like to move forward in life choosing places that provide me with safety and empowerment over my own body. If you know of other professional places that make you feel safe, please share with the community below.

A genuine thank you to everyone who is struggling financially and has paid for our classes, events and services on the lower end of the sliding scale. We know that your funds are tight, and we thank you for giving an honest financial exchange for our services and hard work. And for those of you who pay on the higher end of the paying scale, who tip generously for our services because you can financially afford to do so, thank you as well. Everyone’s honesty in what is financially given is what allows for this system to work without negatively impacting our ability to provide for our own family and children. We are grateful for all of you who trust us on your journey to self care and healing. ❤️🙏🏼

Whether the grief in your heart is rooted in the loss of a loved one, divorce, loss of a job, illness, social injustice, or trauma, Jennifer and Our Sacred Space Riverside would be honored to hold space for your healing journey.

Jennifer is a Licensed therapist in the state of California and has a private practice specializing in grief and trauma. Jennifer takes a holistic approach to therapy focusing on healing the mind, body, and soul. As a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor, she teaches breathwork, mantras, and yoga poses to her clients in therapy to help release the trauma and grief from their body. Jennifer teaches her clients to meditate to connect with their higher self and help with releasing intense feelings such as anxiety and sadness.
