Per Chancellor Wilcox's announcement on April 21, 2020, the in-person Commencement ceremonies previously scheduled for May and June of this year will be postponed until they can be safely rescheduled, except for the School of Medicine which will have an online graduation ceremony for their M.D. graduates on May 29, 2020.
UC Riverside will be holding an online celebration for graduates and their families in June 2020. Additional information regarding these celebrations will be posted to the Commencement website as soon as it is available.
We will continue to follow guidelines established by the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention and abide by orders from California Governor Gavin Newsom and the Riverside County Public Health Officer before determining appropriate dates for the postponed in-person ceremonies. Information regarding those ceremonies will be communicated to graduating students and their families approximately 3 months prior to the ceremony dates, so that they can plan accordingly.
On April 1st, Riverside County extended the school closure order through at least June 19, 2020. Unfortunately, this will preclude any of our commencement exercises from taking place as currently scheduled and configured. While we share the disappointment of our students and their families, we appreciate the County's leadership and share their commitment to protect the health and safety of our community.
The Commencement working group will convene next week to review the current situation, discuss options, and submit recommendations to Chancellor Wilcox by April 15, 2020. Please check for updates on the Commencement website at: commencement.ucr.edu.

ANNOUNCEMENT! The Intent to Participate form link is being sent today, April 18, 2019 to eligible students who have submitted their graduation application. Please check your e-mail for the Intent to Participate from [email protected] for your unique link to create a password and register for your Commencement ceremony.
Please note, ticket ordering will open on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Information regarding how and when to order your guest tickets will be sent via e-mail to registered students the week of May 6.
If you did not receive the Intent to Participate form and you expect to be graduating this Spring, please make sure that you have submitted your two-step graduation application through R'Web.

Please accept our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused by today’s technical difficulties with the Commencement registration and ticket ordering website. MarchingOrder, the third party vendor who manages the online registration form, has been working to resolve these issues.
Please check your UCR e-mail account for updated information on additional tickets for your ceremony.
The registration form for additional tickets will re-open tomorrow at the following times:
9:00 a.m.: School of Business, Graduate Division Hooding Ceremony, and GSOE & SPP
10:00 a.m.: CHASS Group 1
11:00 a.m.: CHASS Group 2
12:00 p.m.: CHASS Group 3

Attention Class of 2018! Additional tickets are available for the following ceremonies: School of Business, Graduate Division Hooding, CHASS 1, CHASS 2, CHASS 3, and GSOE & SPP!
Additional tickets for the listed ceremonies will be released tomorrow, Tuesday, June 5 at 12:00 p.m. on ucr.marchingorder.com on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once all of the additional tickets have been issued, the ticket drop-down menu will be disabled and no additional tickets will be available.
Please know that by releasing additional tickets for this ceremony we are now expecting a standing room only crowd. Tickets will allow entry into the Commencement venue, but will not guarantee a seat.
The Intent to Participate form has been e-mailed to all eligible students in the following colleges: School of Medicine, School of Business, College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences, Graduate Division, Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering, Graduate School of Education, and School of Public Policy.
College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences students, please note that your Intent to Participate e-mails have been delayed as we are waiting to receive the final student data from the college. The e-mails will be sent out as soon as we receive the data. If you do not receive the e-mail by Tuesday, April 17, please contact our office.
Please note that you will be able to register and order the maximum number of tickets for you ceremony until May 7, so this will not affect your ticket order.

If you were unable to attend Grad Fair to pick up your guest tickets, you can pick up your tickets from May 8th - May 12th and May 15th - May 19th at the University Theatre box office (Humanities Building) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.!
If you need to purchase your cap and gown, you can purchase your regalia at the bookstore up to Commencement weekend!
The Intent to Participate form is now closed. It will open back up for late registration tomorrow, April 28th!
