Fans Don't Let Fans Drive Drunk
The most exciting day for American football fans lies ahead this weekend! Did you know that almost half (46%) of traffic deaths on America's biggest Game Day are related to alcohol impairment? https://shorturl.at/vyFPU
At Safe Routes for All, we see this as a reminder of our collective commitment to empower communities by sharing preventative messaging that sparks change and saves lives.
There are actions everyone can take to prevent traffic crashes without dampening the enjoyment of the Super Bowl Sunday experience. Impairment starts with the first drink. The smartest action you can take is to separate drinking from driving.
π Make a plan before you head to a Super Bowl party, so you have a safe way to get home.
π If youβre hosting a party, check in with your guests to verify they have a sober ride home before they start drinking.
π Be prepared to offer your guests a place to stay overnight if no sober ride is available.
π Have the contact for a taxi or rideshare service on hand.
