Inland Empire Smoke Out Initiative

Since 1990, the California To***co Control Program (CTCP) has been producing hard-hitting educational ads that have contributed to a significant decrease in the number of Californians who smoke by changing the social acceptance of to***co use.

California's ads have successfully worked to:
• Reduce secondhand smoke exposure.
• Counter the to***co industry's deceptive marketing efforts to hook new users
• Motivate to***co users to quit and promote free services to help them succeed.
• Educate on the harmful effects toxic to***co waste has on the environment.

Our goal with Inland Empire Smoke Out Project is to adopt or amend to***co policy to:


  • Include a prohibition or restriction on the sale and/or distribution of any mentholated ci******es and other flavored to***co, including electronic smoking devices (ESDs) products and paraphernalia (e.g. flavored premium ci**rs, little ci**rs, cigarillos, ho**ah to***co, e-ci******es, e-ho**ah, wrappers) including Electronic Smoking Devices ESD’s

  • Include a prohibition or restriction on the redemption of low-cost to***co products and to***co product coupons within local community stores
