It’s almost time for one of our favorite SWW traditions… PI DAY🙌

We have another great line-up of volunteers who are willing to take some pies to the face for a great cause—our 2024 Prom! And YOU can get involved again this year! If you’d like to contribute to our Pi Day Prom fundraiser, just send a donation of any amount to our PTO’s Venmo () or Cash App ($WWPTO) and make a note of who it’s for out of the participating SWW staff (see list below). The “winner” will be Pi’ed via Facebook livestream! They will also win a free lunch delivered to their classroom/office.

Rochester's School Without Walls hosts sickle cell awareness event and blood drive | WHAM Students and staff at School without Walls in Rochester held an event on Thursday to bring awareness to sickle cell anemia, an inherited red blood cell disease.

SWW students, Edwin, Liz, and Shia, spent their Saturday morning collecting food donations for our Thanksgiving basket food drive! We are still in need of additional items to get to our goal of 32 baskets so if you are interested in contributing, you can drop off donations to SWW on Monday or Tuesday from 8am-3pm.

Items we are looking for: stuffing, instant mashed potatoes, canned veggies, canned cranberry sauce, gravy, mac & cheese, cornbread mix, pie crust & filling, applesauce, disposable roasting pan, and $20 grocery store gift cards for the families to purchase a turkey.

Thanksgiving Baskets for Families in Need, organized by Susan Hollister Hello Community Members, We are students from School Without Walls (RCS… Susan Hollister needs your support for Thanksgiving Baskets for Families in Need

Hello friends! Are you looking for a way to help support those in need in our community for the upcoming holiday? Consider donating to our School Without Walls Thanksgiving Basket Drive! Each year, all students at SWW are required to complete 75 hours of community service and this is one of our many community projects this year. We currently have over 30 families in need in our school community and we would like to offer them a basket filled with items needed to prepare a wonderful and filling Thanksgiving meal.

Some of the items we are requesting are:
-canned veggies (corn, green beans, mixed veggies, etc.)
-canned cranberry sauce
-stuffing
-gravy
-instant potato mix
-mac & cheese
-cornbread mix
-pie crust & filling
-applesauce
-large disposable roasting pans
-new, clean, reusable shopping bags (we'll use these to package each basket)
-$20 gift cards to local grocery stores (for families to purchase their turkey)

If you are interested in contributing any of the items above to our Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive, you may drop off your donation at School Without Walls, 480 Broadway, any week day between 8am and 3:30pm, anytime between now and Friday, November 3rd. If you are unable to drop off during those hours, please message us and one of our staff members will connect with you to arrange a pick up.

Alternatively to donating items for the baskets, you are welcome to make a financial donation directly to our Thanksgiving Basket Fund via Venmo (--last 4 digits are 1605). Please put "Turkey Drive" in the memo.
