We are so grateful for all the medical professionals who are true heroes, keeping us safe. The CreatorSpace is happy to help them by making PPE! Thank you to all those who are pitching in to help keep our heroes safe!

Today's CreatorSpace Social Distancing Tip: Creating a test strip for the Epson P8000 printer.
When you are printing on the large format printer, you want to make sure that your exposure is correct, because you will be charged for each linear foot of printing and you don't want to have to re-print your entire image because it looks darker or lighter than what you see on your computer screen. It's always a good idea to print a test strip first.
Our most popular paper is the semigloss luster, which runs $9.00 per linear foot. If you make a test strip that is 6" tall, we will charge you $4.50 to print it. This is money well spent if it helps ensure that your final print looks great.
Check out this video for a great step-by-step tutorial on how to set up your test strip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OStYPF-CUM
(Bonus tip: Go in with a friend to print your test strips together. If you make yours 6" tall by 20" wide, and your friend does the same, you can fit two test strips within the 44" maximum width of the paper. Split the cost with your buddy, and you each only spend $2.25!)
For the past few weeks, our CreatorSpace distance learning tips have been all about the laser cutter. This week, we are shifting gears and learning more about how to prepare your files for the Epson Large Format Printer.
Did you know that you can print your images up to 44" wide using our printer?
Check out this YouTube video to learn how to send your files to our printer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk-hVkXTviA&feature=youtu.be

Today's Distance Learning Tip: #3 - Setting up your files for etching with the laser cutter.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3MuJhB76kg&feature=youtu.be
Today, we are discussing a few tips to help you chose the right image for etching into your material.
Social Distance Learning Tip #2: Vector or Raster?
It's important to understand the difference between vector files and raster files when using the laser cutter. If you want to etch your design into your material, it's better to use a raster file, like Photoshop. If you want to cut out holes in your material, you need to use a vector program, like Illustrator.
To learn about the difference between raster and vector files, watch this short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2thSkOa_Xg
