Thanks to generous grants from The Herbert and Anna Lutz Foundation and the Chester Healthcare Foundation, we've installed 8 new hospital beds and 8 over-bed tables at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. This upgrade enhances comfort and care for our patients, continuing our shared commitment to improving lives in Chester County.

📚✨ Did you know? The Hospice & Community Care Campus proudly hosts a Little Free Library stocked with Children’s Grief Books and other resources for our community. This special library was thoughtfully constructed as an Eagle Scout Project by a local Scout in 2022.

Today, we're celebrating a very special member of our team: Willow! 🌟 Willow was rescued by our staff as a tiny kitten right here on our campus. From those early days, she's grown into an integral part of our work family, now serving as our beloved Chief Happiness Officer in the Admin Building.

Willow's playful spirit and unconditional love brighten our days and remind us of the importance of kindness and compassion. Whether she's purring in her favorite sun spot or greeting visitors with a gentle head bump, Willow's presence is a constant source of joy and comfort.

On Tuesday, July 2nd, the Hospice & Community Care Caring Closet achieved a new milestone. In a single day, our Caring Closet provided essential medical equipment and supplies to 73 individuals. The Caring Closet operates every Tuesday from 10 AM to 1 PM. Donations of new and gently used medical equipment and supplies can be dropped off at Hospice & Community Care Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Your contribution can greatly impact those in need within our community

Thank you to members of Wilksburg Baptist Church for pressure washing the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House patios and sidewalks!

The Administrative Office of Hospice & Community Care will be closed tomorrow in observance of Independence Day.

Yesterday, June 27th, marked National PTSD Awareness Day, and here at Hospice & Community Care, we were honored to join hands in support. Led by Frank Grobusky, our Veterans Coordinator, our team participated in the National Center for PTSD - U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Virtual Walk. It was a powerful experience, walking together in solidarity.

Throughout this entire month, we've been steadfast in our efforts to raise awareness about PTSD. Working closely with our staff and the Veterans Council, we've engaged in meaningful conversations, shared stories of resilience, and fostered a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those affected.

Let's continue to stand together, fostering empathy and support for our veterans and all individuals impacted by PTSD. Together, we can make a difference.

✨ What a weekend it was for our team! 🎉 We were honored to participate in both the Rock Hill Pride Festival and Juneteenth Freedom Fest, where we connected with our community and reaffirmed our commitment to inclusivity and support for all.

But that's not all! Over at the York Invitational, 68 incredible golfers joined us to raise funds for Hospice & Community Care. ⛳️🙌
