Did you know today is Constitution day? Constitution day and Citizenship Day commemorates the adoption of the U.S. Constitution which was signed on September 17, 1787 and recognizes those who have become American citizens by coming of age or naturalization.

In two weeks Dacus will be hosting our first ever Puzzle Race! You/your team will get a 500 piece puzzle and race to be the first to finish. We will also have some snacks and our tea station out. You can sign up in the library or through this link https://bit.ly/4gpZUwX 🧩🧩🧩
For library Worker Wednesday we are promoting our voting selfie station! Come take a picture with props, and learn how to register to vote, how to submit an absentee ballot, and other important voting information!

Welcome to a new Fall semester to all our new and returning Eagles! We have a few fun welcome week events to get you in the library and looking around! Maybe you want to support team garnet or gold in our week long team puzzle race, or scour the library to find 6 different librarian’s pictures. Either way, we would love to see you and say “Welcome to Dacus.”
Librarian Cody had fun helping out move in new eagles at Margaret Nance this afternoon. We can’t wait to see everyone next week for Welcome Week fun!
The final orientation resource fair before classes start is in the books. We loved seeing and chatting with a bunch of new Eagles!
We are gearing up for the new semester with a display of college success books, book giveaways , and FREE puzzles. Stay tuned for more fun welcome week activities. We are so excited to see our new and returning Eagles! 🦅
Tropical storm Debby has decided we should close the library today. If you need any assistance we will be on our reference chat from now until 6:00 tonight! Stay safe and dry out there.
If you ever frequent the library, you know we always have a puzzle out. We did an inventory last week of our puzzles and organized them. We have so many! We will have a few to give away early this semester in addition to some puzzle themed events. Stay tuned to our page to find out more as we get close to the semester starting.
Dacus will be closing at noon tomorrow and all day Thursday for more air conditioning work. We will be available online until 6 both days if you need any help!

We will be back to our normal Summer schedule Monday July 8th at 9:00 AM.
There will be a campus wide AC outage from Monday, June 24- Wednesday, June 26. Because of this, the library will be open on Monday morning from 9am – noon, then we will be closed with remote reference service from Monday afternoon – Wednesday afternoon at 6PM.
We will reopen at 9:00 AM on Thursday, June 27th.

The Biblioukes (Library dean Jackie McFadden and acquisitions librarian Martha Smith)had their final performance of the season at Macfeat today! They also have very cool matching shirts.
Our User Services office is looking a lot more open! We took down a wall and added a desk. We think it looks a lot more inviting. Stop by, say hi, and get some help if you are around this summer.
We loved seeing four of our graduating library workers (and all the other graduates) at the 10 AM graduation!
Dacus library will have reduced hours starting tomorrow until next Friday. After that we will switch to our summer schedule. We hope everyone has a great summer!
Exams are ALMOST over! We still have a few snacks and plenty of study break activities to help you push to the end. Also, the big lion poster looks pretty cool, but you could make it look cooler.
We celebrated all of our graduating student workers Tuesday! Shivani, Paige, Natalia, Paige, Mary and (not pictured) Sarah will be missed. We love seeing our student workers flourish!
The school year is almost over! For our final Pet of the Week post for the year, we wanted to do a retrospective. 23 dogs, 22 cats, 2 lizards, one ferret, one mouse, and one spider were pets of the week this year! As you are studying/crushing your exams, take a look back at all these cuties.
