CPL Adam McKiski
Died August 7, 2008 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom
From the Rockford, IL area
Went to Jefferson High School.
McKiski died just two days after his second wedding anniversary. He was married to his high school sweetheart.
He was a three-year Marine on his second tour of duty in Iraq. His primary duty in the Marines was as a towed artillery systems technician until he volunteered for recovery missions in Iraq as a gunner.
Family and friends say he was everyone’s best friend and a person everyone wanted to be around because of his positive attitude.
CPL Mckiski’s family are active in the local running community to include volunteering and running with the Rockford Wildcats.

Our mission is to inspire and equip people to lead healthier lives.
Inspired by a fellow runner who died in 2007, the idea was born to do something to inspire people toward a healthier lifestyle.
Annie’s Locker is a non-profit organization that supports people in need of proper fitness gear and provides race sponsorships in Rockford, Illinois that operates under the charter of Rockford Road Runners, a RRCA member club, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Annie’s Locker does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, s*x, s*xual orientation, age, family status or marital status.
