Big news! With our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to our Go Fund Me and Giving Tuesday campaigns, today, The Boston Home accepted delivery of our new multi-wheelchair van! We are so very grateful to Cummings Foundation for bringing this dream within reach, and to EMD Serono for their support in this crucial endeavor. We are incredibly moved by the groundswell of support that made acquiring a van possible, and we know that it will have a tremendous, positive impact on resident life going forward. Thank you! ❤️

In 1988, the first World AIDS Day provided a platform to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS and to honor the lives affected by the epidemic. Since then, there has been significant progress in addressing HIV and AIDS thanks to advancements in research, access and understanding.
Today we remember the past, while remaining steadfastly committed to supporting those impacted by HIV-associated wasting.

Imagine bringing a loved one home from a hospital stay and being told you are responsible for the effective clinical care of a feeding tube and catheter. It can be overwhelming.
That's why, in collaboration with Fundación GIA, we've published an in-depth, free online training to help family caregivers on the Embracing Carers website that includes feeding and nutrition techniques and commonly encountered issues. The training is available in English and Spanish.

When the U.S. Food and Drug Administration establishes a new rule, or modifies an existing rule, the agency looks to the American public for help.

November is National Family Caregiver Month and National Military Family Appreciation Month. We salute the millions of family caregivers who wake up every day and provide care for Veterans -- particularly Veterans with the most challenging conditions, including cancer, mental health challenges, or who need disability care.

Our team is back from Germany and so energized by the conversations we had at our global parent company’s Patient 360 Summit on emerging healthcare trends. The healthcare landscape is changing rapidly, as is the experience for patients. As a patient-directed company, we know we need to listen to our patient and caregiver community so that we can identify the best ways to support them. We’re excited to analyze the insights we heard and motivated to take action to help meet the needs of the Patient of the Future!

Eighteen colleagues from our R&D campus in Billerica, Massachusetts recently led the entire 6th grade of Billerica Public Schools' Locke Middle School through our Bacteria Around You (BAY) curriculum. More than 170 students ran experiments to learn about bacteria in our everyday environment. We were delighted to run this program during the fall, as it better aligns with the school's curriculum.
A huge thank you to the Billerica Community Outreach team for organizing, and to our incredible volunteers for fostering a love of science in the next generation.
Arielle Hung started her career in banking, but after being a caregiver for her father, she decided to change industries. Now, almost 10 years later, she brings her passion for supporting patients and their caregivers to her role at EMD Serono.

Yesterday on the first official day of American Society for Reproductive Medicine, we recognized Morehouse School of Medicine, the recipient of our very first “EMD Serono I’M IN” REI Diversity Fellowship for 2022/2023.
This dual-pronged, national fellowship provides both funding and mentorship to connect Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility ( ) residents in under-resourced programs with talented and experienced REI mentors to diversify the pipeline of REI providers.
We’d like to recognize Lauren Gibbs, who Morehouse School of Medicine selected to receive the fellowship research grant and mentorship. Further thanks to Kim Thornton and Alan Penzias of Boston IVF for dedicating their time and expertise as clinical and research mentors, respectively. Lastly, a big thank you to Gloria Richard-Davis, who conceived this novel, national mentorship model and launched this fellowship initiative in partnership with EMD Serono.
