It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tana Daniels, a cherished member of our community. Tana was an incredible Food Pantry volunteer whose dedication, kindness, and spirit touched so many lives. Her contributions have left an indelible mark, and her memory will continue to inspire us all.

We are excited to be opening a position for a new Fulltime Food Pantry Driver/Warehouse employee. This is a full-time role that provides food pickup from various grocery store partners and provide support to the Food Pantry Coordinator in the warehouse and food pantry.
A couple of things make this a great fit:
• Be able to lift and move 50 lbs.
• Able to operate a pallet jack
• Valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
• Experience driving a panel van (or similar style vehicle)
• Experience in the grocery industry
• Courier or transport experience
• Great Interpersonal Skills and team player attitude
The Helping Hands van will be used for pickups and deliveries. Candidates must have a safe driving record, and insurability must be maintained throughout their employment.

• This position is full-time-and is not simply a summer position.

• Typically 9-5, 40 hours a week

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Vicki Wallace. Vicki was a cherished member of our Helping Hands family, having served on our board and as our Board President in 2017. Her dedication and unwavering commitment to our mission were evident in every endeavor she undertook.

Vicki's tenure with Helping Hands was marked by her true servant's heart. She consistently demonstrated compassion, leadership, and a genuine concern for the well-being of those we serve. Her vision and guidance were instrumental in advancing our initiatives and ensuring that our community's most vulnerable members received the support they needed.

Beyond her leadership role, Vicki was a beacon of kindness and generosity. She touched the lives of many through her selfless actions and steadfast belief in the power of community service. Her legacy will continue to inspire us as we carry forward the work she was so passionate about.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Vicki's family during this difficult time. We will miss her dearly but remain grateful for the indelible mark she left on Helping Hands and the broader community.

Helping Hands is closed in observance of Memorial Day.
Today we honor and remember.

Kim, a grandmother from Rockwall with a limited income, is caring for her three grandchildren full-time without any assistance. She says it is a "daily struggle to make ends meet."
"Helping Hands has been a tremendous help in getting the kids ready for school when budgets are tight," Kim explains. "Without the Back to School Supply Drive, I would have to use funds that are budgeted for things like groceries and clothing to be able to get them what they needed for school. They thought it was coolest thing being able to go "shopping" for their stuff. I couldn't do it without you amazing folks putting this together."
For this grandmother of three, $30 completely changed her world. And there are so many like her in Rockwall County. Donating towards one... two...or several backpacks makes a tangible difference in the life of a child. We need to buy them now to
