Peace Lutheran Church
All are welcome at Peace. Really, we mean you! The Holy Spirit is at work in, with, and through us to share the good news in our community. Come join us!
Guiding Principles:
Jesus is Lord and Savior. Forgiveness, compassion and respect for all. Minister to God's hurting people inside and outside the church. Equip and empower disciples for leadership. Show God's love with generous hearts.
11th Sunday after Pentecost
This coming Sunday the gospel reading likens Christ to the manna that God miraculously sent to the nomadic Israelites. Come to worship to eat this bread; welcome Christ into your heart. Jesus promises that filled with him, we will never again hunger.
Sat @ 5pm & Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)
10th Sunday after Pentecost
For the next five Sundays, our gospel readings come from John, rather than from Mark. The Gospel of Mark was the earliest gospel written, about 70 ce, and the Gospel of John the last, about 100 ce. All five weeks will focus on Jesus as the bread of life. Come to worship, to hear and to eat.
Sat @ 5pm & Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)
9th Sunday after Pentecost
The Bible describes us as being like sheep who need a shepherd. Come to worship to meet the Shepherd who, with endless compassion, teaches, heals, and feeds us.
Sat @ 5pm & Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)
If you would like to have a good desk, it is free. Get it before it rains!!
8th Sunday after Pentecost
Sunday’s gospel reading is the unpleasant story of Herod’s dancing daughter and, what followed, the decapitation of John the Baptist. Come to worship to hear what this has to do with us.
Sat @ 5pm & Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)
Loving God, when the world feels overwhelming and our hearts are heavy, we turn to You for peace. Calm our anxious minds and soothe our troubled spirits. Remind us to take deep breaths and to find stillness in Your embrace. Let Your peace flow through us, bringing clarity and calm to our lives. Amen.
7th Sunday after Pentecost
In the gospel reading for this coming Sunday, we hear about the ministry of Jesus and about the work of his chosen Twelve as they also preach and heal. Now we are those witnesses sent to testify to Christ and to bring healing to others.
Sat @ 5pm & Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)
🎉 Happy International Joke Day! 🎉
Today, we celebrate the joy and healing power of laughter. Laughter is a universal language that brings us together, lightens our burdens, and lifts our spirits. For many who experience suffering, moments of levity provide essential relief and hope as we continue to work toward a better future together.
The book of Job asks us to look beyond blame and trust God for what we cannot see or control, and be reassured that God "will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy" (Job 8:21). Let's remember the importance of laughter in our lives and share a smile with someone today. 🤗✨
6th Sunday after Pentecost
Thanks to all those who helped prepare the for the Saturday night service!
We look forward to our potluck picnic after service on Sunday as well!
This coming Sunday we will hear about Jesus healing a bleeding woman and Jesus raising a dead girl to life. Many first-century people would have found aspects of these stories shocking. Come to worship and see what your reaction is.
Sat @ 5pm & Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)
5th Sunday after Pentecost
This coming Sunday we hear of Jesus stilling the storm. We join with the disciples in the boat of the church—we call our church space a “nave”: think “navy”—and pray for Jesus’ presence and power in our midst through all life’s storms.
Sat @ 5pm & Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)
🌞 Happy First Day of Summer! 🌻 Today marks the beginning of a season filled with warmth, sunshine, and the beauty of nature. As we step into this new season, let's take a moment to appreciate the wonder of God's creation all around us.
🌿 From the vibrant colors of blooming flowers to the soothing sounds of rustling leaves, summer reminds us of the awe-inspiring beauty of the world God has entrusted to our care. Let's embrace our role as stewards of this precious creation and commit to protecting and preserving it for future generations.
🌳 Whether it's enjoying a leisurely stroll in the park, basking in the glow of a sunset, or simply taking a moment to breathe in the fresh air, let's find joy and inspiration in the wonders of nature this summer. May we celebrate the beauty of God's creation and honor His gift to us with gratitude and reverence. 🌼🌎
🎉 On Juneteenth, we celebrate a pivotal moment in American history and honor the resilience and perseverance of the Black community. Juneteenth holds profound significance as a reminder of the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and the ongoing struggle for freedom and equality.
But Juneteenth is not just a day of reflection—it's a call to action. As we commemorate this historic milestone, let's also reaffirm our commitment to love, justice, and equality for all. In the words of Jesus, "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31). Let's embrace the diversity of our nation and strive to build a more inclusive and equitable society where every person is valued and respected.
Today, we reaffirm our commitment to the ongoing fight for justice and equality. Together, let's work towards a future where freedom and equality are truly enjoyed by all. ❤️🌟
Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads and fatherly figures out there! Today, we celebrate your love, strength, and guidance. Your impact on our lives is immeasurable, and we're so grateful for everything you do.
But let's also remember that Father's Day can be tough for those who are estranged from their dads or have lost their father figures. To those who are missing their dads today, you're not alone. We're here to offer support, love, and understanding. Whether you're grieving the loss or navigating a difficult relationship, know that you're valued and loved.
Today, let's honor all fathers and fatherly figures, while also extending a hand of support and compassion to those who may be hurting. Together, we can celebrate the diversity of fatherhood and the strength of love that binds us all. 💙
4th Sunday after Pentecost 🐦
This Sunday, we'll hear about the cosmic tree of life, where all the birds of the air find their place. But what really brings us together is the cross of Christ. It's like being a bird on this tree of life. Come join us! Be a bird on the tree!
Sat @ 5pm & Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)
3rd Sunday after Pentecost
This Sunday’s readings talk about how evil is portrayed as a snake in paradise and as a demon who goes against God's plans. Mark also shows us an interesting side of Jesus’ relationship with his family. Join us for worship: we're all part of Jesus’ family now.
Sat @ 5pm & Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)

A crew from the Southeastern Synod will be in the Bentonville/Rogers area for the next two weeks and while they will be working with local organizations on clean up projects, they can also help you. Or are you blessed and want to share your blessings with them by providing food? Contact the synod office or Peace, Rogers for both assistance or to share your blessings.
🍩 Happy National Donut Day! 🎉 While the people of Israel had manna, here in the US, we have donuts! 😄 Let's take a moment to appreciate the little joys and blessings in life, like indulging in a delicious donut.
But as we celebrate, let's also remember that not everyone has access to such treats. Many are facing food insecurity and hunger every day. It's our duty to not only enjoy our blessings but also to share them with those in need.
So, grab a donut, savor the sweetness, and spread some kindness today. Together, let's make the world a little brighter, one sprinkle-covered treat at a time! 🌟 🍩🌍
2nd Sunday after Pentecost
Starting this Sunday and running until mid-November, we'll be celebrating standard Sundays together. It's a time for us to come together, listen to the word from the Bible, share a meal, and go out into the world as representatives of Christ. Even though there aren't any special festivals, these Sundays are still precious to us, helping to support and strengthen our spirituality. Every Sunday is like a big feast for us, where we gather around Christ, sharing in his teachings and the meal. This Sunday, we'll be exploring what Christians mean by "sabbath" in our gospel reading. See you there!
You are invited to join us at Peace Lutheran Church for worship and fellowship! All are welcome :)
Sat @ 5pm Sun @ 9am (Livestreamed on Facebook)
If you or your neighbors still need tree removal done or need help with yard cleanup. Please reach out to us here as we have gotten two churches from surrounding communities not effected by the storms willing and able to come and help where needed.

Who We Are
You’ve come to our Facebook because you are curious about God, about Peace, and whether this community might be a good fit for you. Everything does not have to be sorted out or perfect to worship here. Each of us are “simultaneously saint and sinner.” – Martin Luther.
We asked the question “What about Jesus do you wish every person knew to the depths of their being?” Members commonly proclaimed:
When asked to share the top values of Peace, overwhelmingly people responded with words like love, service, acceptance, worship, and peace. Food receives honorable mention, as serving the hungry is a passion of the church.
