I love the results of the ice dying class at Shirt Off Your Back Quilts last weekend. Thank you Amy for offering such a fun (and addictive) class! This is going to make an amazing quilt ❤️❤️❤️

Not sure what has gotten into us lately! But homemade has become a real thing around here. I’ve never in my life made a waffle without bisquick! Making fresh pasta was so much fun and delish! And today … on the bread band wagon! Sending goodies to a friend or I will become enormous!

Loved having spring break visitors today!

While spending time in the studio, soaking up the pretty weather, I had the doors open and the radio on my favorite 70's road trip selection. A feeling washed over me while working at the wheel, I wish so much that my mom got to see me get into pottery.
Within minutes of this melancholy thought I heard a rustle at the studio door and there, just inside the threshold, was a female cardinal. I'm not kidding! We looked at each other and she flew away. It was so quick I would have missed it if I hadn't turned my head.
I'm not too weird about "signs" from beyond but I take comfort in the thought that to many cardinals represent a visit from lost loved ones.
We lost my mom 14 years ago this month and as the days creep closer to the actual date all those thoughts that I attempt to quiet creep up. So I do hope that it was a visit.
She would have loved every wonky pot I've ever made and no doubt I would have had to make her an entire collection with hummingbirds on them ... I think she would be proud that I found a creative voice.

Happy first day of spring!! Spring is in the air here in the studio … and bunnies!

My shelves are crowded with pottery, bags, quilts and more ... all looking for new homes! Stay tuned for upcoming open house information! Hope to see you there!
