Track your progress this year with either our paper-passport OR our mobile app! With the paper-passport you will collect stamps at each stop and with the mobile app you will "check-in" at the register. Both options will collect not only your progress but your entries for a chance to win one of our Grand Prize Collections!

Step 1: Visit stores on the Gold Country Tour Map
Step 2: Spend a minimum of $10 at each stop and earn the "Swag" item specific to that store
Step 3: Receive stamp on passport from store clerk OR scan the code at the register to check-in

At each store, you will receive a stamp or check-in to be entered to win one of the two Grand Prize Collections! At your fifth store that day, you will earn an additional entry. At the sixth store, you’ll earn two additional entries and so on. Therefore, if you have 10 stamps or 10 check-ins that's equivalent to 31 entries! Wow! Don't worry we will keep track of all of this for you but feel free to use the "Entry Tracker" on slide 3 to see your progress!

When current owners, Sue and Greg Richards assumed the helm in 2018, their vision was to transform Crawford’s Books into a community hub. Happy Saturday! Introducing Beers Books!

Serving Sacramento for over 80 years, Beers Books offers new, used, rare and out-of-print books. 📚

Many people often ask about the long history of Beers Books and how they got their unusual name. In some form or another, Beers has been selling new and used books in Sacramento since about 1936. Through four different owners and several locations, it has evolved into its present incarnation at 915 “S” Street.

The history of Beers Books began around 1936-37 when their namesake, Mrs. Nellie Beer, worked as a clerk for L.H. Mytinger Books at 1125 8th Street in Sacramento. Her name appears as one of the charter members of the Sacramento Book Collectors Club in 1939. At some point the store on 8th Street changed its name to "Beers Book Store," for they have a circular advertising books-for-sale under this name at their current location.

Add Beers Books to your route on Independent Bookstore Day! 📍

Thay will be open from 11am-7pm
