My dog Lulu was all dressed up for the 4th yesterday. 🐶🇺🇸It was her first year with fireworks and I wasn’t sure how she would react to all the noise. 💥 She did great! She wasn’t concerned about the noises, just curious 😅 what a relief! Our cat, however had never liked the 4th and stayed in the farthest corner of our closet for most of the night 😿 How did your furry friends fair?

Cheers to the weekend! This week seemed long to me only because last week I was on vacation.
I know you all thought I was in Hawaii but the night before we left, we still hadn’t revived our COVID test results so we decided to adjust course and do our vacation in San Diego instead! We easily cancelled and rebooked all the flights and hotels and has a fabulous time eating in the gaslamp, fun at the zoo and LEGOLAND, sea kayaking on La Jolla beach over leopard sharks and lounging at Coronado beach 🏖 Not what we had planned but fun was had by all (and truth be told I think the kids preferred this vacation to Hawaii)!

I love it when projects come back around after a few years. This cafe in Folsom that I did is ready for her post-COVID refresh! More than happy to help this business get back up to speed! ☕️

Boy is this more true than ever today. Everything has been delayed due to recent events that lead times and install dates have been pushed waaaay back for all my projects. But even in “normal” times, good design takes time! We give ourselves 6-8 weeks in the design process to make sure we can work through every detail thoughtfully and thoroughly. Things take time but are always worth it 😌

Sometimes my phone feels like my life line, taking notes on site, accessing files in the cloud, countless calls with contractors to discuss the important details, photographing details and progress shots. 📱 On the weekends though, I kinda love leaving my phone somewhere in the house and not realizing I haven’t checked it until hours later.
