Enter Wally’s Café, snugged away in the corner of an almost-invisible, teeny strip mall in Rocklin. The name suggests a burger joint – but this earnest, friendly establishment serves up Lebanese food that’s well worth the drive from Sacramento. Ravishing lentil soup AND sweet, flaky baklava squares are included with your meal (wait, what? Yes!!) and the food is uncomplicated, beautifully made and served up with a genuine smile. We are THRILLED to announce that our house-made chicken pot pies, shepherd’s pies and chili pot pies are now available in Lafayette at Diablo Foods (https://www.diablofoods.com/) and in Danville, Los Altos, Menlo Park and San Mateo at Draeger’s Markets (https://www.draegers.com/). We are very proud to partner with these beautiful independent grocery stores, and so excited to offer our products in a new location! All our organic, sun-kissed, tree-ripened peaches and nectarines come straight from the good folks at Twin Peaks Orchards, a gorgeous family-owned Placer County orchard established in 1912. Six years ago today we opened our little pie shop on 24th and Broadway. Hard to believe time has raced by so quickly! We are profoundly grateful for the generous and kind Sacramento community that has sustained and supported us; for our marvelous, talented staff and for our vibrant pie partnership with family-owned Nugget Markets, which has introduced so many people to our products. Ahhh, the sumptuous Butterscotch Banana Cream Pie. While we respect traditionalists who like "regular" banana cream pie, we humbly believe ours is way...way better. We make our butterscotch custard by hand (of course!) and we caramelize the brown sugar and butter base over a flame until it is deeply, richly brown and smoking before adding its milk and eggs, which creates a custard with sweet, engaging complexity and character. Plus, butterscotch + bananas is a fabulous marriage - maybe that's why this pretty treat is our best-selling cream pie. Come give it a try! 💛

As bakers, we love love to play with fruit! 😀Pies, upside-down cakes, galettes, crusty lusties and tarts are wonderful palettes for the ever-changing colors, textures, flavors and fragrances of seasonal fruit. One of the most satisfying (and fun!) parts of our week is deciding which fruit to devote to which menu item. Best job ever!! ❤️❤️

Well, those dark chocolate Guinness stout cakes flew out the door so fast last weekend that we made a few more for THIS weekend. 😄Come try a slice! Other favorites this weekend include our pear & blackberry sour cream streusel pie; and our tangerine & passionfruit crusty lusties. 💓💓💓

We are constantly blown away by our amazing staff - their talent, their commitment, their creativity. They have done it again this St. Paddy's weekend - not only have they baked up gorgeous loaves of buttermilk soda bread (available today only); they have made special "corned beef dinner" shepherd's pies packed with tender corned beef, braised cabbage and onions, roasted carrots and mashed potatoes (limited amount; available frozen/unbaked) AND baked one of our favorite desserts: dark chocolate Guinness stout cake. Yummmm!!!! Thank you, all! Awesome job!! 💚💚💚

What would St. Patrick's Day be without soda bread? Our talented dough manager Mariah is whipping up loaves of this iconic Irish bread for (this) Friday, March 17th in celebration of this wonderful holiday. Our soda bread will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on St. Patrick's Day only. Come try a loaf!! 🍀

You call them palmiers (or pig ears or elephant ears...), but we call them crispy-crunchies, because - well - that's what they are. These classic "cookies" are traditionally made with puff pastry, but we make ours with our buttery pie dough. Shatteringly and marvelously crispy-crunchy, mildly sweet (and only 90 cents each), these are really, really fun to gobble up! 🥰
