We’ve done a balcony upgrade with new planter boxes, Spring flowers from & 7 new flags representing the early Spanish Period to our current Florida State flag.

A customer wanted to customize the El Paso Straw Reserve Cowboy Hat by and asked us to flatten the brim & give it an open crown. It took about an hour.

Don’t walk around with sweat stains on your hat. Keep it clean with regular baby wipes. We prefer either Target or Costco brand.

Baby wipes work on most all other hats like baseball caps & drivers caps too.

During his tenure with Conan O’Brien, Labamba wore our hats almost nightly. His hat of choice was our Low Crown Gambler. I would “trombone-proof” the back of the brim by turning it up so he wouldn’t strike it when he’d slide the slide back & forth.

Here is a Master Weaver finishing the edge of the brim on his Montecristi Superfino. This hat will have taken him 5 months to weave by hand once it’s completed.

We had the pleasure of visiting another family owned hat shop in Old San Juan today. Ole Puerto Rico specializes in hand made Genuine (Ecuadorean) Panama Hats and they helped our 5 year old twin girls with some custom hats. Be sure to check them out if you ever go visit PR.

Our princesses found some spring hats today 🌸 👒

This customer wanted to add a pencil roll to the brim, a black 1” gros grain band w/ a matching feather to their Betmar Hat. This took about 30 mins.

Here’s Henry Flagler in a sharp looking hat with a telescope crown. It’s hard to tell from the old photo but it could possibly be a finely woven Montecristi Superfino Panama Hat. A wealthy man like him would’ve had the best. Since President Roosevelt made “Panama Hats” famous in 1906 after he was photographed wearing one while he visited The Panama Canal, Mr. Flagler could’ve been keeping up with what was trending in the hat world for his time? Just speculating.
This telescope style crown with the brim up in the back and down in the front has most recently been made famous by the golfer Sam Snead. Shorten the brim and snap it up in the front then it becomes a pork pie (think Breaking Bad).

The crew at Brixton was nice enough to make my wife a custom hat today w/ our twin girl’s names branded on the brim at Surf Expo. I can’t thank you guys enough!
