It's been awhile since I've been active on here. Truth is, a lot has been going on these last few months and I feel like it's time to be open about it.

When I first started the business I really had no idea what I was doing. Everything I did I learned on the fly and it was the most stressful but rewarding experience. Once I finally felt like I did all my research and set up the studio to my liking, the only thing left was the inspection from the city.

When it came time for the inspection, it turned out that the portable sink I had purchased did not meet up to code and this was somewhat of a recent change therefore was not clear on the city's official website. This almost made everything I did for nothing but thankfully the city was willing to let me run the business until my lease was up. While not the best way to start a new business, you just got to roll with the punches.

The first half of the year was slow, but I saw progression as time went on. If I kept this going I could save enough money to find a new place once my lease was up. Come middle of July to end of September business had taken a huge dive and by October I was pretty much broke.

I've been able to recover a bit since then but the reality is that it's just not viable to start from zero again at another location. My mental and physical health has taken a huge hit and I need to take a step back to focus on those things.

What does this mean for the business?

I still believe that this is still something I want to keep pursuing but for now I need to focus on myself so the last day will be December 30th. After that, the business will seize operations until further notice.

I've discounted all massages to the new client pricing so if you're a returning client you will get the same price.

If you have any sessions banked you have until December 30th to use them. If you for some reason can't get in before then, contact me and we can work something out.

As for my plan after the 30th, I still plan on doing massage as it's my passion but will most likely be working for someone else. If any of my colleagues or someone knows anyone hiring for a massage position send them my way.

I want to thank everyone for your support and helping me live out my dream. It didn't turn out the way I had planned but that's how it goes sometime. My hopes are still high and I know something better will be around the corner.
