The emerald ash borer has left many dead trees on private properties across the Hamline-Midway neighborhood. If you have a dead ash tree on your property, HMC may be able to help! Especially low-income and elderly neighbors!
For the months of June and July, requests for no-cost tree removals are being accepted. For more information on this MNDNR funded program, please see our website:

We are so excited to announce the return of Keystone's Free Farmer's Market! Throughout the season, Keystone will offer a total of 14 events at three community locations - Roseville Covenant Church, the Rice and Arlington Field, and the Allianz Field. Anyone in need of food assistance is welcome and registration is not required for any events this year. These events do not count as a food shelf visit. Looking for a way to help others this season? Hamline Midway Elders is in need of a few volunteers!
These opportunities are only a few hours per month, flexible scheduling, helping seniors right here in our community: Drivers to take people to appointments or errands, people to help with snow shoveling at seniors' homes, and a volunteer to do blood pressure checks for an hour/month. Have you, or someone you care about, been helped by our services? Maybe you enjoy our popular 'Second Tuesday' luncheon, or get rides to appointments from our volunteers, or attend our wellness classes, or have had yard help or special help from staff to get medical equipment or apply for Medicare.
We have delivered hundreds of hot meals directly to the doors of elders, continued our classes and groups in online and hybrid formats, provided hundreds of rides to medical appointments, sent dozens of yard help volunteers to seniors' homes, and never stopped one-to-one direct support with friendly phone calls, safety checks, advocacy, application assistance and referrals. We are here for our older neighbors, for over 20 years.
