We are so blessed by the Simon Garden. Not only does it provide a peaceful and beautiful setting for our Sunday School during the summer, it's also home to so many pollinator friends! Here are a couple we saw this morning!

2012 - burning of our mortgage in celebration after we paid the last payment. The oldest and youngest (who was also old enough to light the lighter) teamed up to do the burning while Pastor Thompson supervised.

Statistics tell us that 3% of americans donate blood - for this page that means 19 people out of the 610 people we have as followers. We have 31 open appointments for Thursday. Let's see if we can break the stats and get all spots filled!

In January the Red Cross declared an emergency blood shortage. Blood Donations have dropped 40% over the past 20 years - but the need has not.

It's been such a joy to be able to include contemporary worship into our services again!

If you would like to be included in the rotation of singers for our contemporary Sundays let Megan or Pastor know! Kids & youth are welcome too!

"OK, nice photo, but a pretty ordinary bird. Yet there is something special about him. This Townsend’s Solitaire is far from his home habitat in the mountains and valleys of the western US. I may never get a chance to photograph this bird again unless I travel out west, so I was thrilled to get a photo. During this season of Lent, I was reminded of Jesus. It seems, according to the prophet Isaiah (see Isaiah 53:2), that there was nothing special about His appearance that would draw Himself to us - it’s not likely He was the most handsome Jew who ever lived, or was a perfect physical specimen with bulging muscles and six-pack abs - but there was something special about Him. He was (and IS) the Son of God, our Lord and Savior (not to mention a long way, in a sense, from “home”). God bless your Lenten journey as we take time to reflect on Him."

Tomorrow we celebrate Gaudete (Joy) Sunday. Join us after service for fellowship and an all ages service day before caroling.

This week is our Food Distribution at St. Stephanus. Join us from 4-6 in front of 739 Lafond Ave, St. Paul, MN 55104. Distribution is done as a drive-up.
We will have: Apples, pears, carrots, onions, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cabbage, winter squash, tomatoes, romain lettuce, cucumbers, eggs, milk, and bread (final selection subject to change).

Ever wonder what food distribution days look like? The answer is a lot of fun and work mixed together! We're so grateful for the volunteers that make these days happen!

And a special thank you this month to Sophie, who has been volunteering at food distribution since it began and joined us on leadership team this year. She is off to college in a couple weeks and we will miss her, but we're so excited to see what she does next!

Our August Food Distribution is this Today! All are welcome to come and get food from our drive-up distribution, 4-6pm. 739 Lafond Ave, St. Paul, MN 55117.
