Our Buffalo Chicken Salad is fire-grilled chicken tossed in our fabulous housemade Buffalo Sauce served over Romaine tossed in ranch dressing then topped with red onion, tomato and bleu cheese crumbles. Our Story

The Downtowner Woodfire Grill was known as the Downtowner Café for 12 years. The original cafe was a small diner serving only breakfast and lunch. Thanks to dishes like our Cajun Breakfast and Stuffed French toast and our exceptional service we became a famous favorite in Saint Paul.

After an extensive renovation the new Downtowner, now known as the Downtowner Woodfire Grill, re-opened its doors in August 2001, offering a truly unique experience for Twin Cities diners. With an open kitchen and floor plan and a fire-lit ambiance, the Downtowner offers a charming, elegant atmosphere.

In addition to our fabulous breakfasts and lunches, we’re proud to serve a unique and exquisite dinner menu. We specialize in daily fresh seafood specials and fire-roasted meats cooked on an oak-burning wood-fire grill with an ancient fire-roasted cooking style. We’ve paired our menu of Armenian wood-fired specialities with a cultured wine list and a world-famous martini bar. Authentic fire-roasted flat-bread is made fresh daily and is served to all dinner guests. Try a fresh wood-fired pizza. You will definitely want to come back for more!

Our St. Paul restaurant offers a beautiful private dining room that is available for special events and business meetings. The room can accommodate up to 34 people and can be reserved for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
