All About Rosacea!

Rosacea is the second most common skin concern. It’s an inflammatory skin condition that affects the face and is typically temporary, but can become permanent.

Frequent features of rosacea include constant blushing, flushing of the skin, acne in inflamed spots and enlarged blood vessels. It’s typically seen on sensitive skin types.

So what makes this worse? Well quite the mixture! Flares can be caused by sun exposure, emotional stress, extreme temperatures, wind, exercise, alcohol, spicy foods, and wrong skin care products.

Here are some things that may help!

1. Sun protection - the minimum of your SPF should be 30
2. Some prescriptions may help with severe cases
3. Skincare ingredients - azelaic acid, brimonidine, metronidazole)
4. Other - laser treatment, light therapy, avoiding triggering flares, use only cream non-foaming cleanser

Things You Did Not Know About Ageing😩

In a nutshell, after we turn 20 our (collagen) cell production slows down each year after that. In order to manage and maintain these key components, it’s important that we put them back into the skin! That means finding professional products that have these key components!

As a kid I always dreaded putting on sunscreen. Because I had convinced myself that it makes you less tan. Which is absolutely incorrect, and so silly. The Sun releases UVs that are so strong that they can damage underneath the skin and causes free radicals that over time kill and distroy cell production, collagen, and skin structure (these are just a few). So make you wear that sunscreen girly!!

Be PROACTIVE and make sure to PREVENT by:
- Getting regular facials
- Taking supplements and vitamins
- Wear SPF daily
- Moisturizing daily (even acne prone skin)
