The Health Departments of San Benito and Monterey Counties have been working tirelessly with community partners to address the opioid overdose crisis. Their recent efforts involve installing two new Narcan distribution boxes at Sun Street Centers in King City, CA, and Hollister, CA.
These Narcan distribution boxes are equipped with life-saving naloxone, a medication that can rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. By making Narcan readily available, the Health Department hopes to empower community members to act swiftly in emergency situations, potentially saving countless lives.
