It’s Monday. You picking lower or upper 👀💪
Reminder🚨🚨 today is the final day of summer 1 class for teens at 4:15 pm. Youth class make up will be posted tomorrow as we have a lot of ppl out for travel this week.
Summer 2 signs ups are open and classes will start July 16th.
If you would like your teen to train non stop this summer please dm or text me to get set up with our full schedule and membership options.
Parents of clients and clients
I called big ass fans to see how long our fan delay is and I am being told that they will ship out July 8th
We have a/c in this building but there is not duct work and they need some maintenance- so unless you stand right by the vents it is a little muggy and warm.
I am going by the store to get ice and water but I would also recommend sending your athlete with a cold water or electrolyte sports drink as well.
I am going to delay summer 2 start date for after July 8th so we can continue with our speed work indoors and it not be a miserable experience 🤪
We will close July 4&5th as usual for holiday so it’s technically not too many gym days away from having large fans and a cold breeze in between lunge sets 👀
See everyone soon 💕❤️
Today is the big day for moving mats. We have 75 4x6 stall mats we need to pick up, load on a trailer, and take to the new gym to wash and lay out/cut. Austin and I have already loaded 2/3 of them on the trailer and will be taking that to the new spot to unload around 10:30 am. If you’re able to help today is the day we need all hands on deck. The only way we open tomorrow is if we get this done today.
🙏🏼 thank you!!
Today had a full circle moment.
In 2015 I opened up in a small 800 sq ft room in the back of a warehouse. The building owner who didn’t know I was subleasing, introduced himself and then signed up for personal training.
He was a founding member and loved by everyone in the community.
After last years leasing troubles I gave myself 6 months to find a permanent home for SASC or I was truthfully planning to close.
A lot of close deals fell through due to code and necessary renovations nobody wanted to do. And one afternoon I got an unexpected call from my old friend Doyle because he heard I had been looking to purchase something.
The rest is history- he offered Austin and I two buildings and this morning we closed on both properties.
A lot of new is coming but I can truthfuly say that I remember when I used to pray for this building. And while the last year was insanely stressful, I know that all of that had to happen so that it could make room for this!
So happy 9 year Anniversary SASC and welcome (back) home!
Nothing quite like having a very long and tiring evening of classes (after we spent 8 hours of painting and tile removal)… and finding this in your phone when you get home.
I think this about sums it all up though 😅
Thank you to everyone who showed up today and has text me this week with words of support and kindness.
By far the most stressful work week since last summers a/c woes.
A big update tomorrow and this weekend so stay tuned for very good times ahead. ❤️
This Friday there is no 9:30am or evening class. Attend your sessions earlier in the week or save it for later this summer!
We have so much to do before the big day and need the additional work time.
Just in case you need the reminder:
BALANCE or SELF CARE actually means you have to do good s**t for yourself too (and not just cave to all of your vices).
Is your athlete ready for the weight room this fall?

Have I mentioned you’ll meet friends at this gym 🙃
Well with today’s unexpected large hail, Diana and I kidnapped the youth class and sat it out at the cactus. I will be back for evening class but first…
See y’all soon 😂
Small group strength & conditioning!
Youth Summer 1 starts June 1st. Ages 9-12 (some 8yo accepted based on maturity). 4:15-5:15pm on Tuesday & Thursdays for 4 weeks!
Athletes learn proper technique and develop the strength and skill to enter the school weight room and athletic programs.
Email [email protected] to grab one of the last spots. 13-15 yo group is full.
Oh Kendra and Travis. Why why why 😉😊
No. Practice is not enough.
There is a massive difference in PRACTICE and TRAINING.
Practice is skill training for sport by playing the sport. It utilizes your body (biology) as it currently is.
Practice involves using different constraints like starting at “x” position, throwing to “x” target, avoiding a person or object as well as practicing different ways to get the same sport task done.
TRAINING is used to acquire things your body (biology) does not have. Let me be clear- training is not group fitness cardio class.
Training done properly will stress and stretch your nervous system to increase its current capacity.
Training can increase proper joint space to decrease injury risk, your absolute strength (to make you harder to tackle), speed strength (to help you kick the ball further), slow & fast twitch muscles, etc.
Practice cannot do for your body what training does.
Now look at your time screen time report and tell me you don’t have time.
Teen strength and conditioning class is almost at full capacity BUT our Teen strength club still has spots left.
This is a new class for athletes who have done summer sessions years prior and want to advance into more heavy lifting and Olympic lifting technique work. This class will run throughout summer with proper deloads before school begins.
Put the phone down and go back to school stronger and healthier this fall.
You must be 16+ to attend this class. Athletes with injuries are welcome to join and focus on rehabilitation this summer.

Wishing Kendra and the rest of her team the best of luck at state for FCCLA this week. 💪🫶
New rule: if you’re a youth or teen member and leave your weights out, your parents have to come in and stand on the sled and you have to push it for the number of times the photo is liked. If they decide to scold, laugh or yell in an encouraging way at you during your pushes …don’t blame me. 🙃
All of these in the photo were left by Will 👀
