Sail and Wave Healthcare LLC are hosting an Ice Bucket Challenge extravaganza on Tuesday, September 24 in the Wave Healthcare parking lot (121 Interpark Blvd. Ste. 300 San Antonio, TX 78216).

At 3PM, we will begin handing out FREE Paletas 😋 And at 3:30, the Ice Bucket Challenge will begin!

Our amazing RT, Jana, will take on the Challenge alongside our CEO, COO, and the President of Wave!

We will be accepting donations toward our ALS Walk fundraiser at this event. All proceeds will benefit The ALS Association, and all donors at the event will be entered to win door prizes 🎉

September is Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month!

Pulmonary Fibrosis is a condition in which the lungs become scarred over time. It primarily affects adults, but has been diagnosed in children on rare occasions.

Members of our team will be joining the National Walk Day event by the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF). We're excited to help raise funds and awareness, and we're inviting you to do the same!

Some weeks, you just really need a bit of happy news.

We were overjoyed to hear that Lupe delivered backpacks to The Rio, on behalf of the Sail and Wave Healthcare LLC family. These bags will be given to the children and loved ones of Rio patients as part of their annual 🎒❤️

Rest in Peace, Patty. You will always be a part of the Wave Healthcare LLC and Sail family.

Patty was a lovely person inside and out. She went out of her way to support Wave patients and families, as well as the greater special needs community. Her impact was profound, and her loss is heavily felt.

We love you, Patty.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our dear team members. Patty Drake was a beautiful soul, and we are all better for having known her.

As our Branch/Compliance Manager, Patty worked closely with many of our Wave families. She touched so many lives and made such a difference every day. She was a passionate advocate for special needs children and cherished her role in caring for them.

Patty was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a cousin, and a friend. She was truly a wonderful individual, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Today, ballparks across the country will be celebrating ❤️⚾

This is a day to help spread awareness and raise funds for people living with and their families, and it is held in honor of a true baseball legend.

On June 2, 1925, Lou Gehrig became the New York Yankees starting first baseman. It was the beginning of his incredible streak of 2,130 consecutive games played.

His unexpected departure from baseball came after his ALS diagnosis in 1939. He marked the solemn occasion with his now famous "Luckiest Man" speech.

On June 2,1941 Lou Gehrig passed from ALS. It was 16 years to the day since his remarkable baseball streak took off. In the years that followed, many people across the country would refer to ALS as "Lou Gehrig’s Disease."

Today, MLB has partnered with The ALS Association to keep Lou's memory alive. They've released a line of "All vs ALS" T-shirts featuring every team in the league. Proceeds go towards the Association's search for a cure and contributions to families facing ALS.
